Long day of work.. Long drive home. I was tired... Kinda bitter about a few things that have been happening lately, and I feel like i'm going to vomit my beans cheese and rice burrito.. I get home, and wash the dishes, and go to take out the garbage since it's garbage day, and I don't feel like jumping out of bed at 5am racing downstairs to take out the trash and to not miss the garbage man.. Sorry, jumped off topic..

Well, I happened to go and check the mail while outside, and then I saw it. FINALLY, my Eisley album came in the mail! I got my hoodie last week and this week I get the album. Talk about mood changer.. Here are some pics!

Anyways, before getting this album, the way i've learned a lot of Eisley's songs is from their live videos provided by Boyd and OGG. The only songs i've heard mastered are the three songs from their website, and I Wasn't Prepared. Now I have the album, and I'm getting to hear the songs in their purist form. After hearing the album front and back, i'm seriously more of a fan of Eisley than i've ever been, and I didn't think I could become a bigger fan. Infact, I don't think i've picked up on a band faster than I have with Eisley. Not even my favorite band. (Which is SlipknoT)

I've NEVER heard anyone or any group with such a great gift of melody in my life than I have with Eisley.. Each song is crafted perfectly with the vocals and instruments, along with the lyrical phrasing creating a new experience with every song. I knew this album was going to blow my mind, but I didn't know I would be cleaning my brains off the floor for the next 4 years... Anyone that is a MUSIC fan... Not just a "indie" fan, or whatever label is set into Eisley, if you are a MUSIC fan, you need to seriously check this album out and you will be MISSING out if you decide to pass this up for any other album at the moment.

Anyways, what I am most excited about is what really hit me after hearing the album. One of the greatest thing about Eisley, is that it can only.. Get.. Better.. Sure, most bands are like that, and you can say that about a lot of things, but literally, these are really JUST KIDS! Ranging 16 to 23! And these songs are coming from kids. There are many artists out there that haven't even grasped great melodies as well as these kids have. Some haven't even grasped it in the first place, and are a lot older! (heh i'm using the term 'kids' a lot and i'm only a few months older than Sherri lol but you get it) They can take 3 years to make a new album and STILL be kids. Could you imagine if their musical intellect grows and they continue to grow and make music for 10 more years, which only makes Stacy 26-27, and Chauntelle like 33-34? There are musicians getting their big breaks at 30 years old and Eisley got theirs before even hitting 25! Stacy before turning 18! But could you imagine just how much they are going to get better year by year if they are THIS great at suck a young age? Wow...

The only regret is that I didn't get into them earlier.

Sorry to sound a bit corny but after hearing the album, "I wasn't prepared for this.."

Thanks for taking your time to read what I had to say. I just wanted to point out how great they are and WILL be and how they really have made an impact in my life. More than anyone really knows.

Larry
