No, the T in the Park thing was cancelled.....Boyd posted about this a while back.....since they weren't playing the main stage. Eisley DOES play main stage at the VFest in August!! Also, possible London club dates (nothing confirmed yet!) boyd said : 2 festivals in Ireland and Scotland were being considered...but after management, label and band looked at the time slots and weighed it against the staggering budget to "go".... hmmm, how can I say it... It just didn't make sense. You have to weigh spending 1000's and 1000's of dollars against playing for as few as 300; . So, the general consensus was: it's better to keep writing songs and look toward recording the full length album than to risk that kind of investment. Eisley will do carefully selected local shows...(stay tuned for a news release on this...we're planning something in Tyler), do the UK thing in August and...possibly do a Fall U.S. club tour in major markets.... yeah I would have liked to go Juan, the only problem was a lack of funds and a lack of a place to go.. I have one more day left on my Eurail pass, so I could have used that it's just the tickets, that was one of the reasons I wouldn't have gone .. but you know I had tons of fun in Europe, it was a great time. Did you get those Eisley CD's? My mother (being the angel that she is) sent them for me, i'm not sure how long it takes to mail stuff internationaly, but I hope they didn't get lost.. anyway yeah I wish I coulda gone, but the truth is that I was so wiped out at that point that I probably would have sat down on the grass and fallen asleep for 5 hours heh _________________ "strength is just an accident arising from the weakness of others." ~Joseph Conrad ---------------

yeah brian the cd's arrived, thanks very much. sorry should have sent you a pm. bands i saw last week: the futureheads, the jeevas, snow patrol, kings of leon, feeder, the charlatans, idlewild, the zutons, john squire, the coral, supergrass, rem and coldplay. thought there were more but maybe not. favourites were the jeevas kings of leon and coldplay who were prob the best. the weekend was wicked, sun was out all weekend, i burned, everyone was having a good time, in fact there were only 30 something arrests out of 55 000 ppl per day, which was really good imo. the scottish are crazy and always put on a great weekend, i love t in the park. _________________ "A mathematician is a blind man in a dark room looking for a black cat which isn't there." - Charles Darwin (legend) |
