Post subject: "That's where you'll find me"... from judy garland

in the song laughing city, when stacy or sherri gose " That is where you'll find me" does this have any ties to the somewhere over the rainbow song by judy garland?
or was it a mere coincidence?
"Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can't I?
Some day I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemondrops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me" _________________ "I don't believe in you."

Wowwww....
I've never thought of that before.
I dont know why.. (maybe its because i'm from kansas) but i've always thought eisley correllated in my mind with the wizard of oz. laughing city, lady of the wood, marvy thangs... they all seem like they have ties to the wizard of oz.
especially lady of the wood (WHICH I LEARNED TO PLAY TODAY! GO ME!!!!!!!!!!), because of the whole scarecrow thing...
so amazing. _________________

yea, the book is better than the movie. I think. Or not, wizard of oz is really good. But the book is ALWAYS better, or almost always. *walks away muttering on about books, movies, and popcorn...mmm popcorn)
O yea, if you don't like pointless rambling, don't read that last paragraph.

I read all of Frank L. Baum's books about Oz books when I was in elementary school. well, most of them. I think they're pretty awesome, especially Ozma of Oz.
it seems to be a coincidence but it could also be paying homage or something of that matter. _________________

In the case of that particular movie and book, I think they are two different entities completely and shouldn't be compared to one another. The satire is largely lost in the movie version making it more of a fanciful child's story.
