UNIMPORTANT NEWS FROM A BAND IN TYLER, TEXAS
Today was the first day since I started officially working for the band that I actually got up, (after stayin' up with everyone til' 4:00am) and went outside to smell the roses. Actually, I watered the roses so they wouldn't die. We live in a beautiful world.

BrewTones Show - a place in rock history - I don't know if anyone has posted about it....but, I think we all had fun, the band had a stellar performance...we all felt the love and will always have a soft spot in our hearts (my head) for this unassuming, local venue - and these two shows - which could possibly be the last at BrewTones for Eisley. Maybe not....who knows what the future holds. There was, however, a last show at the Cavern Club for The Beatles. Then again...there was the last time show at the Neutral Milk Hotel for Neutral Milk Hotel. Things happen so it would be wrong to presume. But, even if those guys are all be flipping hamburgers at the Neutral Milk Hotel Bar and Grill, they've got a special place in rock history.

Local Press Cool - Channel 7 News (local) did a nice piece on the band last night on 10:00 news and ran it again this morning. They even included bits from the BrewTones show (live) as well as interview and footage from the Coldplay tour - footage with Eisley on stage - jumping with Wayne from Flaming Lips, stuff from Red Rocks, Chicago, etc.

100,000 Hits - Today Eisley will reach 100,000 hits. It's small potatoes in the greater scope of rock and roll, but...it's nice because we remember the first one and thought 5,000 was huge.

MTV dealeo - Grabbing video footage from Coldplay tour to send to Warner to send to MTV for "You Heard it Here First" story on Eisley.

LA Adventures - Everyone who's interested already knows this...but we leave next Saturday. This is all pre-production and exploring/searching for the right producer. I know there's a lot of concern and controversy on this issue; it'll all work out...we'll keep you posted.

The Edge - Adventure Club Anniversary Show at Trees - Not by way of advertising, but if I were in Dallas and didn't have the privilege of being the luckiest dad in the world, I'd go get my ticket to this show. Every year they sell out. Tree's only holds like 900.

V-Fest 2003 - UK Trip - Final passport info is being circulated, details our tour manager - Rock, from Nettwerk are coming in; Eisley will play a 30 minute set, we can't bring our in-ear monitors system, all gear will be backlined, we leave on the 14th, arrive on the 15th, stay in London that night, drive to Hylands Park, Chelmsford for the Saturday show on the 16th and Weston Park in Staffordshire on Sunday the 17th; we return home on the 18th.

That's all.... my yard looks good. We stayed up late with the couple we never met at the Boise show (Kingspin and wife) who flew down from Utah to see the band in their hometown....till 4:00am. oh, nice to meet so many of you from the forum. Thanks - lemonade suprise, who started the eisley chat room...and drove with her cousins from Alabama...and I heard she lost her job because she stayed over to see the second show. (sorry Crying or Very sad ) There were many more.

In case nobody has posted about the weekend shows, you can do it here if you want. Thanks. Boyd

Shocked

Rumors rumors rumors.

Wink

I told a few people that I thought I lost my job because I called in and told them I couldn't make it on Saturday. My boss was very ticked when I spoke to her. Now, if this would have been a job I actually somewhat enjoyed.. I would have been upset. I was sort of relieved. Woo I got fired from Goody's. I thought maybe I could find a better job.

So I went in to work today and my manager didn't say a word to me about missing work on Saturday. I still haven't spoken to the boss about it, but I didn't get fired (yet?).

So.. I still have my job and I got to go to both BrewTones shows. God is good.

Oh, and another rumor that I would like to randomly clear up here because I got a strange IM early this morning.

I, LemonadeSurprise, am not Stacy DuPree. But if you would like to IM me and tell me that my music is awesome, feel free to do so. Razz

not sure yet. Just make sure you bring your new songs for the full length cd, ok? You know...WB said you needed to write one song per day. How's "golly sandra" coming? any new ideas for a chorus?

Okay. I can do that.

Here's my chorus:

Golly Sandra,
I love you like a panda.
The trees grow green around me.
Sandra can't you see...
I'm trying to be free.

Rolling Eyes

I'm working very hard on my song about Sailor Nuts. I think I'm going to call it "Pirate Man."

You know, you shouldn't just type your song out for everyone to see on the forum, Stacy. Someone could steal it. *evil grin*

i think eisley is evil because they are 3/5 female... and since females are inherently evil (as we have mentioned early, in other threads) its hard for even the best of guys (namely weston and jonathan) to balance the equation. so yeah, they are evil because of the girls...
