Here you go Eisley lovers, this will save you from having to click in a bunch of links. Besides, you never know if they'll shut the yahoo link down. All you have to do is click on the ticket you want and start printing away.

REMEMBER!
These tickets will not guarantee you admission. Get to the venue early and make sure you have your ID!!!

Heck yeah, if you're not too lazy, sign up numerous times and tell them you want 6 tickets to each show. I've signed up for each show twice already and I'm 6000 miles away! If it means that Yahoo is going to pay Eisley to play more free shows, give them publicity and fly/bus them around, I'm all for it! So sign up, you don't even need to put a legit email, so don't worry about that. Just type something@yahoo,com; you still get the tickets! But, if you're too lazy, you can't print off these tickets. And don't forget to tell your friends!

I agree with this. Yahoo was already shocked once when there was a massive turnout for voting when Eisley won the Who's Next thing... which is the reason why they're putting on these shows!

Use a throwaway e-mail address if you want, there's infinite ones available at mailinator.com. It's not hurting anyone to legitimately put your info into the ticket site, it's only helping Eisley and pointing out to Yahoo/Launch that "Hey, Eisley's got a huge and loyal fanbase! We need to do more with this band."

Maybe next time the free show will be at a 2000 capacity venue. Maybe after the buzz these shows generates Eisley won't even have to give tickets away for free to get 2000 people to see them headlining.

They know 500 people are showing up at the Troubadour, and how ever many else at other shows; what they don't know is how many people are going to sign up for tickets. I say make it 5000!

I wondered about if this, but I don't think it will have much effect. We've already shown them we can win every online contest thinkable. They had to know people will do stuff like this. If they really wanted to track it they would have the tickets numbered. The way to blow them away this time is to have hundreds of people in line waiting for the doors to open; leaving hundreds more not able to get in! So, post these tickets all over the web! Its a free show, people will come, just make sure you get there early to insure your entry!

But, I'll let Boyd decide. I certainly don't want to hurt the band. If its important how many people go to the site, then he can delete the thread. But, I still think its an easy way to get lots of people to show up who may never have heard Eisley, but want to attend a free concert, but don't want to waste time in going through yahoo to get a ticket.

I'm sure they're checking ID's and the venues that have age limits. I know the Double Door is really strict about checking so only 21+ can get in because I know the owner. However, the tickets don't have names on them, so it won't effect you from printing off any of the tickets and using them unless you're not old enough.

My guess is that the photo ID requirement is to insure that you're over the required age when you enter the venue. It seems unnecessarily involved to have a gigantic list of people who've signed up for a free show, especially considering that you're allowed to print off six of these at a time without supplying the other five people's names. The tickets come with no barcode, no unique identifying system that ties it specifically to you, so nothing is going to keep you from using them this way.

That having been said, yes, the signup process is a way for Yahoo! to measure how much demand there is quickly and easily (not to mention gain access to our spamable e-mail addresses). So frankly, even if you can't make it to any of the shows, it seems to me you still ought to sign up, just to show 'em that Eisley has a serious fan contingent that wants more of them. They'll take the difference between how many people signed up and how many people were left outside, and that evidence will be very hard to dispute when the subject of larger venues comes up. By all means, print off the tickets Admiral79 posted (and thanks, man!). But you still ought to sign up--it's most likely a big help for the band.

YAHOO IS ONLY GATHERING INFORMATION FROM THE ONE PERSON WHO requests X number of tickets. One friend will print out, for instance, 6 tickets, Yahoo will not have the information of the other 5 people, but only on the one who signed in! So their demographic-gathering exploits are completely FLAWED anyway! What if a parent, who has no interest in Eisley, logged in to get tickets for their kids? FLAWED data. Plus they are creating serious problems for themselves...what are they gonna do about the crowd of several thousand that line up outside Troubador, which only holds 500??? I am always amazed at how little thought is put into these things....

I admire what Admiral has done here!
While collecting demographic information is of course useful, Yahoo has resorted to trickery to get the information from us in an underhanded way, by duping us into signing in to get these "worthless" tickets. Why deceive us?

If i make it to a show, i will wear my GOOGLE T-SHIRT in defiance!

I appreciate that Yahoo wants to help support Eisely....don't get me wrong....but i am disappointed in how they are doing this.

I really doubt they're after hardcore demographic data. I'm thinking they want numbers rather than age/location statistics. If they wanted to know who you are, how old you are, and where you're from, they'd force every person to sign up for just one ticket and add some sort of unique barcode to each one, Ticketmaster style. That's not what they're after, so they can be a little looser about it.

As for what they're gonna "do" about the crowds of thousands, they don't have to do anything. They've already stated that it's first come, first served. There will undoubtedly be people left outside; this has already happened to Eisley fans who purchased tickets for other shows. It's nothing new in the realm of concerts.

Honestly, these shows are free and all they're asking is that we make an effort to show up early. By signing up we're helping the band. What's there to gripe about?
