Surprised Doesn't Eisley have family down there? Keeping the prayers flowing for their family, and everyone else in south Texas right now.

I get to head for the hills (Dallas) tomorrow. School was cancelled for the rest of the week... so I'm not working. I wish it were under better circumstances though. My students didn't seem to care. They were thrilled that school was cancelled (they cheered when they heard the announcement). Fools. Don't they know that they have to make up the days anyway?

I live in Victoria which is 30 mi from the coast. They've already closed the 3 hospitals here and 1 branch is probably going to evaccuate its patients. School might be out tomorrow at noon since theres a high chance of mandatory evaccuation.
If I am evaccuated, I'm staying at my grandmas which is about 45 min away from Austin, so if all still goes according to plan with Austin City Limits, I can still get there on Sunday Very Happy.

as long as the hurricane isn't a big one, and you're not in galveston, we should be fine. mostly because we're not under water.

If it gets too bad, my family is going to Austin. I'm getting fairly worried about it and some of the kids that came from New Orleans aren't enjoying the thought of evacuating again at all.

so my brother got married last weekend (on the 10th)

originally, their honeymoon was planned for a cruise out of new orleans on the 18th, then staying in the city for a few days after they got back.

as we all know, that didn't turn out so well, so they changed plans and left out of galveston instead. when they get back, they're going to san antonio for a couple of days. now that's not looking so hot.

on the bright side, their marriage has nowhere to go but up!

it's pronounced "chasdew"

my company has 4 pharmacies in the area (SE texas), even one in corpus, so i'm really keeping an eye on it. If it hits around galveston we're ok for the most part but if it hits around corpus i'm going to be very busy. We have people in corpus right now getting backups offsite and stuff but they'll be getting out soon. If any computer systems are down after it hits i get to go and deal with it :-/

I've got family in Texas who are evacuating because of the storm. Hopefully things won't be devastating down there. Sad

I'm in Austin right now because I go to UT, but my family lives in Sugar Land suburb area too. I think Sugar Land will mostly just get bad thunderstorms and high winds, but my parents are being on the safe side and coming up to Austin just in case. I hope Eisley's family who lives in Richmond or Sugar Land (I can't remember where exactly) and everyone else in and around Houston will be safe durring all of this hurricane craziness.

Isaiah 43 2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

3 For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour
