Any new information on the November tour? My girlfriend just moved to LA for college last week :( it would be cool if yall played over on the West coast somewhere so she could see the show.

Also, what about between now and November? Any shows going on in the great Republic of Tejas? You know what would be cool? Early or mid October an outdoor show at Club Dada or The Expo Lounge. I have no idea how the booking process works so I may just be dreaming. Speaking of dreaming, there is a small outdoor amphitheatre at the intersection of Main and Exposition just East of Deep Ellum in Dallas. It would be cool to see a free concert there wink wink nudge nudge :) ... we could make it a picnic or something

All I can say is that the November tour is solid....totally will happen....and
there will be a blow out show in Dallas with Eisley as the opener. Blow out
means...probably a venue that will hold 2k. And Houston, I'm sure....or at
least I hope will be on the list...probably Austin too? I'm guessing; if it
follows the path of the Coldplay tour, then...yes. If markets are bigger for
the headlining band, then they'll look for bigger venues; in smaller
markets, I assume they'll do 500 capacity venues.

I think Eisley was asked to headline the New Music Festival, but I'm not
sure if agent/management feel it's a good thing... so much exposure in
Dallas you know... maybe it doesn't seem like it, but probably 90% of all
their shows have been right there. People will get sick of them...

Sad, but true...we live in a society where we love to discard. On..on..on
to the next one. Saturate and it's the kiss of death... Plaster your face
everywhere and people want it to go away.... I think that's normal
maybe. I know I'm affected that way. Too much press can suck too....

Managing band's careers is what Nettwerk is good at. The industry is
volatile... bands disappear after one record and fans dart like schools of
fish to the next thing... Eisley could be the same way, right? I mean, let's
be honest. How many bands make it past their sophomore project?

Anyway, this isn't my doing. We'll see what happens. Thanks for the
love...seriously. It's awesome that you guys want to experience more of
the band. I'm no different. I totally love their music...no, like...for
real...their music is like a drug to me....I love them like I did/do the
Beatles. That's a huge thing to say...but I'm not joking. I watch their live
shows and tear up...not because they're my kids; because I'm moved by
the songs. At least I think it's just because of the songs.

too many words. sorry. I type fast...it's a random stream of
consciousness...I'm over-saturating myself...people will get sick of me. Confused
bye.

That thought crossed my mind earlier tonight, in a more contemplative moment (my brain is just mush right now). No matter where the band goes, the songs will always be among the Nirvana, Weezer, Pixies, Beatles, etc songs I listen to and love.

I hope there's a lot more Eisley music to come, though.

Haha, yeah. I'll join you in Chicago. The Metro isn't big but it's legendary to let Eisley play in.

There was an ad in the Stranger, a Seattle alternative newspaper, saying that Eisley would be playing at the Showbox November 17. Then the next week, the ad no longer listed this show. What gives?

I tried to get into the Weezer board, but it was so negative. I posted once, Ii think. What's so wrong about a band doing something different? This board is great because people here actually like Eisley. I hope it stays that way ...

I'm clueless. I'm not even supposed to be talking about this alledged Brand New tour. What Fall tour? I know nothing... but you guys are saying they're reporting it in Austin at "Emo's" and in Seattle now...so, it must be true. gosh. The things I learn about on this forum.

I'm liking these new very special avatar (icons).

Question: where should eisley come to play? where shouldn't they come?

I want to say Nacogdoches, if you're still looking for the 1000 range shows. There's probably room for several thousand, too... It's a university town with lots of students from Houston and Dallas, and it's not even too far away from Tyler. The only problem is, I'm not sure if you can get these lazy bums into the venue. The Voodoo Glow Skulls and Riddlin' Kids were here the other day, and drew a decent crowd with one poster and word of mouth as promotion, though. You can't even buy Laughing City here, but tours are for spreading the word, right?

People still talk about the Pearl Jam show back in '93 ... so once upon a time, people have come here. The Toadies were regulars. Lit was here ... uhm ... Anyway, that's my suggestion. I'm the King of Student Media at the uni, so I'd promote the living heck out of that show in the paper.

Hey, I have to try. Smile
