It's nice and cool for an August morning in Texas. After slumping over my ibook in a pool of drool around 3:30 am, I lurched into my dimly lit room, peered at Collin and his new boxer asleep on the couch...and shlernked into our king size, where Kim had only recently crashed. At 8:00 am, I popped up for no good reason, drank a big swig of green tea, grabbed Weston's ipod, set the dial to "Sunny Day - How it feels to be something on" and headed out for a brisk walk around the historic district. (very stimulating...I need to do this more.) Once home, I snatched my ibook and bag of honey roasted sunflower seeds (that my wonderul wife bought me) and set up shop on the back deck. The only thing that's missing now is coffee and music... but perhaps those are vices, ehh? Instead, I hear birds through the fluttery leaves... I'm surrounded by this canopy of green...to my left, the cadmium hybiscus bloom is celebrating dozens of new buds in the wake of continuous East Texas rain. Wait, I just got a pm. ahh, it's a guy from the UK; very cool... He's a new fan and is stoked to be talking with me. That's funny but very nice...(it seems surreal to be outside chatting with an eisley fan from the other side of the world...) Anyway.... thanks Ollie. So anyway, I've been wanting this morning to happen ever since leaving my full time partnership in a design firm to work with the band but have always been too busy or felt too guilty for such behavior. Why do we not make the time for the things that are so within reach? Why do we allow oppressions like guilt and denial and fear keep us from doing the things we say we value? Now my bride of 24 years is awake... time to drag her into this little microcosm of mine. And make some good Costa Rican brew. Boyd p.s. this is my xanga. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. Xanga is a free online blog type of thing. http://www.xanga.com A lot of people on this message board have them. My Xanga. But we can't seem to suck Boyd into the Xanga cult... THIS is his Xanga. _________________ "Jesus Shaves!" - Jamie |
