I should come back here more often. I haven't posted in a while.

I'm thinking of checking out Brand New. I hope they come to a good venue in Chicago like the Metro. That'll kick ass.

Get ready for a "you saw it here first" special on Eisley. Coming up very soon. They did interview when we were in LA, and I sent them 1 hour of unedited footage from Coldplay show and around the house at their request. It's very short....like 3 minutes or something, but should be cool.

(and yeah, Dylan....we've missed you. don't be such a stranger..I miss that converse icon)

What about "Newlyweds"? Now that's TV. Hope my cable doesn't go out when the "You heard it here first" thingy airs, like it did two weeks ago! MTV tends to show that every Wednesday. Could tomorrow be the Wednesday??

The dude is ok..sorta. I think he should lose the baggy shorts and backwards cap and surely should have blown off the playboy publicity op'. (Jes' was right on that one) But I don't think I'd like her parents - who spoiled her rotten. Word to the wise: don't marry someone with the notion that you're going to change them. His 5 year plan will fail. She can't be fixed in 5 years and neither can he. It's going to take a bigger miracle....more like a, "shazzan!! ...you're no longer a big baby!!"

like Kris said..."ewww".... and she has great perspective being a newly-wed herself.

i wish i had grandkids. im totally looking forward to that. i want to be the cool old grandad that smokes a pipe and makes wooden toys out in his workshop. i want to smell of peppermints and pipe tobacco and always have a smile peeking out from my dusty grey beard. and i want to drive an old car out to the woods for weekend camping and teach my grandkids how to fish and use a pocketknife. i want little wrinkles around my eyes that come from years of laughing.... i guess this all will have to wait though.

now this kinda follows, luke read something about newlyweds and thought, "I wish i was a newlywed." then he thought "no not really... id rather be an oldlywed, (someone married for a long time) then he thought, "heck i just want to be a grandpa."

so there you have it. its past my bedtime and i haven't a care in the world!

Wooden toys, like trains? planes? automobiles? (steve martin film reference) Hey...tobacco is whacko...

It'd be cool to be the grandma that makes her own music videos and rocks out on that awesome Flying V...

Not illegal. I'll anounce it, send out an eblast, all the normal stuff...
Thinking about England (stephen is from england y'all) a lot these days since Dan is down here...hours and hours of conversations.

Inevitably, we're asking him, "so..do they have these in the UK? or....do they say that in the UK? or...I'm sorry, would you repeat that?

....or when you say, "i don't mind...", why is it that you're really saying, "I do mind"?

Like, if I ask Dan if he wants to go to the record store, he say's "I don't mind...I've got some catching up to do here"; so, in effect, he's saying - I really don't want to, but he says, "I don't mind" instead. In the US, "I don't mind" generally means - "it doesn't matter to me...either way is good" - like, "I don't mind, (sure)"...or, "I don't mind if i do..." So we've learned to interpret these things.

And at late at night, when he was ready to be taken home, (we were all watching the Led Zeppelin dvd), he said, "you want to make a move?" and we were like, "you mean,....so, you wanna go ahead and go?...or I guess we could go now, huh?... or, 'bout ready to leave?...or, woah, it's getting late...can you take me back to the hotel?....or, "dude, I'm wasted, let's go..." or any number of ways.

One thing that works for us is, he say's "you reckon?" Like..."you reckon we ought to go get something to eat?" That works.
the end

we're so vague, beacuse we don't want to sound rude. Basically, Dan wanted to go back to the Hotel but he was too British to come out and say it. Laughing So he makes it sound like it's your choice. Smile Us lot have a habit of skirting around it. Like last night, i was on the phone to my friend organising a trip to the cinema and i said "do you want to go see Underworld?" and she said "I don't mind, it's up to you." So we went round like this for ages until i finally said "well i've heard Underworld is rubbish, so lets go see Calendar Girls." Turns out she didn't want to see Underworld anyway because she is a scaredy cat.
Such is life. Hi to fellow Brit Dan then.

Listening to the Edge today on my way home I heard Josh interview Brand New. He asked them about Eisley and they all talked about them for awhile. Jeez, all those dudes(BN and Josh) love Eisley. They said the tour would be in TX in November!!!!!!!!!!!
