I'm turning into a complete Fleetwood Mac fan. Rumours and such. But yeah. Whilest reading, that's what struck me. Hah. A little bit. I doubt that was the point... but who knows? It could have been a factor in the feel of the song. We really need some official input on the lyrics. Everyone's hearing something different. Instead of "furrowed brow," I hear "fertile ground." I think this is more like what I was trying to say. Not that they're making a direct "JON HOW DARE YOU LEAVE US" song, but more of a song just expressing feelings. I'm in love with it, regardless. _________________ |

i made my own attempt to transcribe the lyrics using the original clip and the little snippet from the athens show which was a bit clearer. MANY FUNERALS bring along your tricks and trades we will lie here, here we lay until they ship us out to sea i'm content to lie peacefully and all the dead are seaside born my parents' death did i here mourn ??? ????? ????? ???? ?????? proud to raise my plucked and furrowed brow oh, and now we have no chances we fill the empty caskets and leave you with your tears oh, and now we take our chances we ought to take more chances before our lives are through how could you have left us here you had friends you had us goodbye........ _________________ "dial" in Welsh means "revenge". If a welsh speaker enters an English phone booth, having paid the coin/phone card the next command the l.e.d screen throws at the customer is "revenge!" thus setting the tone for a confrontational conversation. (thank you mogwai you are all nuts.) |
