He says he loves the rough feel to it, and how the girls sing so passionately. He hopes the new album brings back their darker style of music. Just thought I'd share. And we all know he only dislikes Eisley cause I play it a billion times a day. _________________ Jamie (the female version) |

I love Eisley when there's a dark underlying feel to it. And I also think I prefer the rougher production style of the earlier recordings. Think of Sufer Rosa rather than Bossanova. _________________ "A little less love, a little more common decency." - Kurt Vonnegut |

And I don't mean dark in the sense of evil of anything like that... it's just a word that best describes how the music feels to me. All of the music has the same dreamy quality to it... some of it just seems lighter (like Sea King or Golly Sandra) and some seems darker. Songs like Over the Mountains We Go, Head Against the Sky, Dream for Me, and Blackened Crown (or even the non-chorus part of Marvelous Things). Reminds of of having a strange dream. It's not really scary... but it's other-worldy and a little unsettling... but you're drawn to it. When I first heard Many Funerals I loved it because it had that same sort of feel to it. It's a great, great song. _________________ "If you're a ninja, every day is like friday." -Jamie M. |

Is your husband a Rush fan? Because the fast part of Many Funerals sounds a lot like the fast part of the Rush song Double Agent. and of course, everyone knows that vocally, Sherri DuPree and Geddy Lee are interchangeable. _________________ "If those are my last words, I can do better." |
