I think it was more along the lines of... "oh, that song is so old... we don't remember how to play that song anymore" (check for the vid on OGG).

Eisley Tabs and the wikipedia page both say the band doesn't like it, at least. I really like it, so I don't know what's up with that.

It is one of my faves too along with Sleepy Head which is a wonderful song, but they're not a fan of that one either... or so I've heard.

I just think it is not the sound they want to pursue. When they first began their sound was a bit rougher, like "Pretender" and "Dream For Me" (one of my favorite Eisley songs). I think they were initially more heavily influenced by early alternative music. Anyways, I guess their influences have changed somewhat over the years.

i think their new song though kinda mixes the magical sounds of room noises with some of that older rock sound... though, it's a much older rock sound than early alternative... boyd said a few times over the weekend that they're listening to dylan and joni mitchell, etc... so let's just wait in anticipation...

oh, and i am dying for vid of many funerals, it's been stuck in my head since sunday!

Do you like anything you did 5-plus years ago? Same goes here. Everyone is critical of their old work.

yes they did, it shocked me. It was the first time I had ever heard the song... which is why I remember that they played it!
