The video that Boyd posted on the journals does not work for me, and I was wondering if anybody knows what is wrong.

My player shuts down after the words "we see how blue light is very." It says that it has encountered a problem and must shut down. I tried to play it last night--it didn't work. I tried today--it didn't work. I restarted my computer--it still didn't work. I've tried opening the video on Windows Media Player, Quicktime, and Real Player, and none of them worked. I have the latest version of Quicktime, and I've never had any problems in the past viewing Boyd's videos. So I'm not sure what's wrong this time.

I asked Boyd and he said:

hmm.... i don't know PC's. sorry. Do you have the latest QT? Somebody on that side of the fence might could help. gRegor or Thomas? - first rate pc officianados.

So if gRegor or Thomas knows the answer...or really if anybody at all knows the answer, please help! Thank you!

hrm, try uninstalling and reinstalling your quicktime codec?
doesn't take too long and wouldn't hurt to try.

if that still doesn't work, uninstall quicktime entirely
and install this.
it's a qucktime alternative codec for windows users who don't want the quicktime player installed on their machines. basically, it'll allow you to watch any .mov files in whatever media player you use to watch videos.

hope that helps.
yarr.

if you're running windows xp whatever, open up the control panel and select "add/remove programs"

scroll down to find quicktime or anything associated with quicktime. uninstall.
once finished, you might need to reboot.

after that, head on over to http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone.html

download, install. yep!

again, if that doesn't work. uninstall quicktime again, and try that quicktime alternative codec.

I tried everything and it still doesn't work. I don't understand why it doesn't work. It's only this video that won't play. All my other Quicktime vids play perfectly fine.

I guess I'll just never see it. Crying or Very sad

Anyhow, thank you very much for your help!
