where i'm from, this song is played at pretty much every dance, and everyone know how to dance to it. now, the other day at work i was talking about it and nobody had heard of it. so i appointed myself the task of teaching the cotton-eyed joe to my less fortunate partners in crime. please tell me that you other people have at least heard it? if not, look it up!! it's great, in a cheesey way.

*shudders* I live in a small town and they played that song at every high school dance I’ve ever gone to.

I wish that whoever wrote that song should know what it feels like to bleed at the ears. Because that's how I feel everytime I hear it.

everyone over here know's that track!

they don't know about the version I have, The Cheiftiens with Ricky Skaggs from 'Another Country'. it goes into a proper jig thing. it's amazing. I sent it to my mate and she said they ruined it!!!!

Find it on their 50 year celebratory thing (THe Wide World Over)
