Just out of interest, what other record labels tried to gain a deal with the band before Warner Bros snapped them up? Eisley showcased for all of them. They were all interested and made offers. We chose WB. Does that include any Christian labels? I know the band chose not to pick any, but did they showcase for any? judd wrote: dang-shazam. _________________ She is handsome, she is pretty, she is the girl from Belfast City, she is courtin' one two three, please won't you tell me who is she? I'm assuming Geffen tried to snag them as well. _________________ "I should have listened to my friends" www.myspace.com/georgeproject www.purevolume.com/jesusworshiper |

Universal, Sony, EMI, WB and BMG? well...never mind, if any like 5 given labels came to you they had to be owned by one of these 5, hence the BIG 5. but that's cool, competition=good deal most of the time |

I'm not the real detail person, Boyd is. They did not showcase for any Christian labels unless you count Cornerstone. Capital is owned by EMI I believe. They have had quite a few good bands over the years, but not many that really catch my eye now. _________________ EisleyForever wrote: you're A-list in my heart! MAKECOLDPLAYHISTORY |

Bands go to a show usually in LA or New York but it could be anywhere. Its just a concert to play for Label reps. But if they are really scoping you out they'll also send a rep to one or several of you concerts just to see crowd response so that could also be a "showcase" type thing. Anything where you play for a representative of a label in hopes of signing to that label would be called a showcase. |
