with taking back sunday?? Shocked

and its sold out? i have no ticket.

Don't give up! Though I guess tickets cost a lot more there? That's what I've heard, at least. And from what Paul has shown me in the past, I believe it. I really hope y'all get to see them. Or that this opens the doors for a more extensive tour.

so is this definite, that eisley's opening for taking back sunday?

cause i just checked tours and there's another one for sydney.

Wow. That's pretty friggin' awesome for Eisley. Opening for TBS is somewhat bizarre, but not unthinkable after Newfound Glory and Brand New. Hay, there should be approx. a trillion of us NYer Eisley fans by the end of the thing, right (Bayside and Dubin and Christian have already joined up Smile)? When are the dates for this?

will Eisley ever open for a band that ISN'T rock-punk-emo-ish?

i'm not saying it in a rude way; it's just... wow! they're always paired with bands that have that sort of style. i guess they're different enough to be interesting, but similar enough to keep pace.

at any rate, enjoy australia. it'll be awesome.

They opened for Coldplay... and Coldplay doesn't really fit into the categories of "punk" or "emo".

Rock is a very broad catagory. Would you prefer they travel with a hip-hop or country group?

Seems like a good fit. I always enjoy being introduced to something a little different than I expected for an opening act, and I am sure the Taking Back Sunday fans will enjoy Eisley. New fans will be made for sure.

I think they are touring with bigger bands. And emo/punk/rock is big right now. That said, I'd like to see them open for an ethinc fusion band like Dead Can Dance. Cool

No. they can tour with whoever they want/need to, that's not the point of my post... all i was saying is that it seems like they've toured with a lot of bands who are, in my opinion, similar. coldplay, switchfoot, new found glory, brand new... that's all i meant. i do think it'd be kinda cool to see them tour with a more "indie" band.

Congrats!! I'm glad some overseas touring is going on, although it won't really be enjoyed by Eisley fans. But some may be converted into Eisley fans!!

Laughing My thoughts, exactly.

I don't know how you can compare Brand New to TBS or NFG. Brand New is MUCH more similar to Eisley than those bands.
Anyway, have fun Eisley and break a leg overseas.
