All I have to say is, I hope the trip gets better than today. They have had several bad experiences in two different airports, trying to get to their final flight to Australia. I talked with Boyd, Stacy, and then Chauntelle tonight. It's been a crazy day. Sherri left her passport in the airport bathroom, and that sent them on this 40 minute panic to try and deal with the airport people to let her go back and find it. Chauntelle nearly "lost it" with someone, so I know that things had to be bad for her to get mad. But, as I type, they are finally on their plane headed to Australia. |

Well, if she never found the passport, she could probably pick it up on ebay by tomorrow... _________________ Scriptozoology, a screenwriting blog .. Facebook |

airports are just stressful to begin with. Whenever I'm at one, I feel like I'm in some slow intricate dance. Like, go here, do this, wait, go here, do this, show this...blah One time my baggage was like, 5 lbs too heavy they made me pay $100. It sucked. I definitely flipped out on the lady helping me |

I become so paranoid when i'm in an airport, everything creeps me out. Everybody seems sedated, its like a fascist regime is running the place. Your sent from one useless person to the next, nobody knows what is going on. I just hope the rest of their journey goes ok. |

International air travel is tedious at best and when the long flight to Australia is added, numbing. I'm glad there will be a day or so to adjust to the 16-hour time difference before the first performance. In the month I spent in Australia last year, including time in each of the cities on the Taking Back Sunday tour, I found Aussies to be friendly, open, unpretentious, and well-disposed toward Yanks. The collective persona of the DuPrees should be a natural fit there and, despite the hectic pace, I think everybody will have a good time. _________________ Sing again, with your dear voice revealing A tone Of some world far from ours, Where music and moonlight and feeling Are one. --Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792–1822) |

Yeah...I forgot to mention that Sherri's passport was retrieved. Airports do suck these days. I'm thankful for the added security, but 99.9% of the airport employees are either too dumb for their job, or they hate it, so they take it out on the customers. I'm sure that they get their fair share of rudeness, dished out from people, but I've seen some things, and experienced things at airports that seriously made my blood boil. (is that really possible?) Anyway...I too believe they will have a great time in Australia. |
