The fact that Sherri and sister guitarist Chauntelle had forgotten how to play the song -- they ditched their guitars for this number -- only enhanced the spontaneity.

Shocked ...

I don't think Sherri ever played guitar on this song, but Chauntelle did fess to forgetting the chords. I don't think she plays on the song even now. It wasn't missing anything though. At least Stacy didn't forget!

Huh. I thought there were no guitars in that song. Hence my surprised reaction to the article.

Um, I didn't think there were either. At the Toronto show, Stacy just played keys and they sang, and it all seemed intentional. Hmm.

Yeah, I'm almost positive I remember Sherri saying "Chauntelle and I don't play during this song."

man...what a great article. The words used...pranced, fantasy, mesmerize, whimsical, silvery melodies, entrapt, haunting prescence, ethereal........man, someone likes the english language a bit.

Very nice article.

Oh, and I'd say Brighten is emo. They kind of fit into that emo pop rock category that alot of bands are going for right now. That's not bad, by any means. They certainly do it well, and know how to write catchy, catchy tunes.

Very, very nice article. I liked this one a lot because of the use of his vocabulary painted the perfect use of imagery for my mind. And the words he used really fit the band's music, so I thought that was a nice touch.

Oh my gosh! I almost posted a link to this article with the subject "Boston loves Eisley."

Spooky.

i was chilled by the article... i love writers who read the band and re-tell the story in a way that brings words and music into concert. Thanks Bobby.

Could it be that Eisley might win over Boston over time? You know... it's the home of "Guster"... but even more important, home of Luke!! Something has to be right about Boston. Smile
