Someone save me! head automatica is a side project of glassjaw vocalist daryl palumbo. it also involves dan the automator, who produced the gorillaz. head automatica also used to include vinny caruana of the now-defunct movielife, which included brandon reilly, who played guitar with brand new on their tour with eisley. so there's your six degrees of separation. head automatica is quite good though (and absolutely nothing like glassjaw), you should definitely check them out. their album is supposed to come out some time this summer. |

HA is Daryl and Larry from Glassjaw with Dan the Automator. They have a full band when they tour, but Automator doesn't play with them live. Their album doesn't come out until August (last I heard) but they have already done a few tours and are touring through the summer with Dashboard Confessional and then The Cure. Last fall I was on a plane from NYC back home to CA and Daryl was also on the flight coming to finish the album so I was able to talk to him about it. I was pretty surprised Eisley is on a track since they recorded it up here in Oakland. I guess there really is an upside to protools! |

Ohman, I know I know third reply. But this song is so awesome. I am so excited. I have listened to it at least 10 times in a row. I am so so so so so stoked for this CD to come out. i know when the girls recorded it, Steve from Hot Hot Heat was singing the first verse...which I still think it it he. Correct.... Tim from Rancid sings the second verse. I can only assume that the lead singer from Head Automatica sings the chorus along with the girls. (both stacy and sherri sing; i think the break away toward the end is stacy). dance! party!...plus corruption! dance! party! plus destruction! (?) (ok...whatever:wink: ) Steve from Hot Hot Heat wrote the song or part of it.
