I know it's a silly question...As a band, they should sing their songs they wrote but when i read the lyric in the album,in the end it said Rob Schnapf produced:i wasn't prepared...blah and then some other guy who are not in Eisley also produced some song but it also said all songs are written by Eisley What is the difference between produce and write? _________________ We r little,we r small therefore we rock... I think Eisley r not rock enough in some way but they r special~they r pure~ they rock from inside, rather than outside~ http://neqml.spaces.msn.com/ |

The producer is in charge of the recording of the song or album. Some producers write most or all of the songs that they produce, but many just make sure that the song sounds the best that it can be, no matter who wrote it. The job of a producer can mean many different things. Some producers like to work with artists to make sure songs are tight and get rid of things that aren't needed. Some producers make sure that songs have distinctive trademarks of that producer--as well as the band--in aspects such as instrumentation, or tone of the particular instruments, or just the atmosphere of the recording. Some come at it from more from an engineering standpoint, some from more of an artistic standpoint. Some producers even go for a psychological view, and do what they can to make sure the artist makes the album that they want to make. Doesn't a producer also manage distribution/marketing? Not actually do it... but employ people to do it? _________________ "Speaking as a rational person, Al Qaeda are a loose assosiciation of terrorists who can be rounded up with sustained police investigation. Not actually do it... but employ people to do it? I think labels usually have a marketing department to do that. If it's a producer-run independent label, maybe, but the majors have their own people to do that. _________________ Scriptozoology, a screenwriting blog .. Facebook |
