Posted: Fri Oct 31, 2003 5:24 pm So I went to the show tonight in Philadelphia to see an old friend, the lighting designer for Brand New. Expecting to be bored and sad by the bands I was going to be forced to hear (I will do anything for an old friend) sound check only confirmed my suspicions. Coming back from dinner Stephen said .. "Will, you have to check out this band The Eisleys" So I am like "Ok .. sure, whatever." Let me just say this: I am completely blown away. You all are such a great band. You have the most amazing voices the greatest instrumentation and such and excellent touch. You all restored my faith in the young music makers of today. Like the Sundays but with humor. 10,000 Maniacs with better pop. You guys are really something special. I was honored to get an opportunity to hear you play. I expect great great things from you. You all made my night. My notes: What a beautiful rhodes. The Macintosh sticker is perfect. DAD... you rock. Thank you again. -W I L L _________________ www.soulriffic.com |

Stephen taught me everything I know about programing lights. Which is a lot. He has an excellent touch IF he is given enough time. My apple store account has just been billing me for my Eisley purchases. The tracks remind me so much of Kate Bush during her "cloudbusting " days. Among other things. I keep finding new references for the music, and it really is inspiring. I really think you and the family are wonderful. Tell Stephen I said "Hey!" He is supposed to give you guys a W I L L cd. So holler at him about it. I hope that the rest of the tour continues well. And remember touring is like is like eating cake. You wouldn't eat it if you didn't love it. Take care all -W I L L _________________ www.soulriffic.com |
