OK...Boyd was suppose to find that picture of Weston in his batman suit, or whatever it was, and tell you guys this story.
Boyd's been busy, I've been overseeing tile work in my house, and some of us in the household have been fighting off, (and losing), to the urpy stomach virus, so I guess the story hasn't been told, so it's up to me.
I know you all would want to know how brave and manly Weston is!
So, here's what happened:
Weston, and Christie went with two of our friends, (Zane & Shay), to pick up a washer and dryer, and go help move the old ones out of the way, and install the new ones in our friends house.
As they were moving the old washer out of the way, Zane, leaned over the dryer to unplug it from the wall. Someone had installed this dryer in an unsafe manner, so when Zane dropped the plug, it hit the outlet, and a huge spark flew out, and melted the plug! Zane narrowly escaped being seriously electrocuted!
At the same moment, the spark caught the lint on fire! Whoever sold them the house, did not put a vent on the dryer, so the lint had been collecting in the wall......(are you getting the picture?)
Yep! the lint quickly went up in flames, and the fire was in the wall.
Everyone there started yelling to get out of the house! Run to the neighbors for a fire extinguisher! Get away from the water heater, it may blow! Call the fire department.
Well, it was if Weston could picture himself in his suit...he quickly wet the gloves he was wearing, found a towel and doused it with water, and began pulling all the flaming lint out of the wall, and smothering it with the wet towel.
By the time the fire department got there, Weston had extinguished the fire, and saved our friends home, and pretty much the day!
Since this was an interior wall, it could have been a really bad situation, very quickly.
When he got home, they all told me how he saved their house, and the day.
My immediate thought was: "Whar's tha darn noowz people? Wha didn't they come and interview mah son? He's a dang ole' hero in this town, and ah wanted to see my son on that there teleevision!" Wink

So, this is a true story. Just another day in the life of "Fireman Weston DuPree"!

Blimey that's so dangerous!
I'm glad that he's ok but did the emergency services tell him off?

In my experience, drummers tend to be logical, problem-solving fellows. I think all the assembling/disassembling kits helps.

Wow! That's dangerous, but I guess if he waited and contemplated that fact, the story may have been a lot different, damages wise...

So yay for Weston on saving the day! And very glad everyone is safe and okay!
