I think that's a great idea! I was actually thinking to myself "man I wish I could buy the EP at the merch store..." There would definitely be a lot of people who would be buying it! _________________ Elizabeth: You two could never make out. You'd start a fire! Me: Why? Since Marvelous Things won't officially be released on CD with liner notes and all until December 29th, it's not too likely they're gonna put it up on the merch site before then... But you all could just do what I did and download it from iTunes. It's $3.95 for the whole shebang. It's legal, too, and Eisley actually sees some of that money. (No idea how much--I'm going to have to research that.) iTunes _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

My guess - Eisley doesn't see too much from CD sales, whether they sell them or others do. That's just how the industry works. But they do see some (though I think most is usually going to repay advances from the label, etc.). Not sure if they have any plans on selling their CDs directly on their site, but they will see some money if you buy them from others. As for us (http://www.bandmecca.com), we've got the Laughing City EPs if you are hurting for one, and should have the Marvelous Things EPs in for sale on Tuesday, Dec. 9th according to my distro, not the 29th as mentioned above. I believe that is accurate as 90% of all CD releases happen on Tuesday, not Monday. Anyway, that's all just my take from an industry slant. If you want Eisley to get your money directly, buy shirts, hats, stickers, whatever else they've got, because that's the staple of the band anyway. Granted, they'll start seeing some cash from the label for sure if they sell a million or three CDs. Just my two cents.... Cameron _________________ Cameron aka truckpoetry....
