i almost wrote that before, but than i thought maybe new developements occured in their community. Wink but i know there's a time when they can leave and experience the outside world, like music and the internet, so maybe they meant that?

Amish kids can leave the community at the age of 16, according to The Devil's Playground (great documentary).

is this a joke on the gay thing? If so, you're beating a really really really dead horse.
I guess if you're Amish you can go online at your friend's house or the library maybe.

If you're Amish I think you live in an Amish community. So you can't really go to your friends house to go online. Unless they have computers?

Children don't become part of the church (and thus are not restricted from electronics) until they reach adulthood. At such time they may either join the church or join the rest of the world. As such, it is far from implausible for there to be a fan of Eisley who is, or was, part of the Amish community.
