it is probably the best of all the creepy compliments known to man, i mean, just try saying it to a random passerby, especially if it is a lady

I don't think I'd want someone by my side as I die, mainly because knowing me I'd go out in a less than stylish way and I wouldn't want that to be the persons last memory of me Laughing

well.. it depends..
you see, if you hate someone and want to see their demise, then you say that you want to see them when they die. this is especially spiteful if this person is expecting a grousom horrible death.

now, if you absolutely love the person, then you say this to comfort them at their death. and it is a compliment, to help them feel better.

did i delve into that to much?

not at all, Sammm: You didn't delve into that too much.

THough I'm not sure about the whole "making someone feel better" thing when someone's dying.

It depends whether you love or hate that person.

comfort... hope.

Hope is being secure that something makes sense.

lemme get the actual quote...

"Hope is an orientation of the spirit... an orientation of the heart; it transends the world that is immediately experienced and is anchored somwhere beyond its horizons... it is not the conviction that something will turn out well [the "it'll be alright in the end" school of thought], but the certainty that something makes sense, regardless of how it turns out". Vadav Havel

I believe that the only thing that one can possibly do with a loved-one who is dying is to be there for them, and try to impart that hope, if possible. hm. Difficult.

I'm leaning on cuss.

If you loved them, you'd like to be 'with' them when they die.
Being 'there' sounds like you're just spectating.
Nobody's paying for admission to my death.
They're not getting in for free either.

My last words before I die will probably be, "Crap, that was stupid..."

That sounds like something I'd say...as a curse!
