Hey sherri. i go to school at UT and we like to go to Tap House or Coco's. They are right next to each other on Guadalupe. They're not as good as Dallas Boba, but they should do =P. I hear the strawberry smoothie from Coco's is good though.

I've had some bad experiences with that stuff. One time in a crowded coffee shop my friend shoved it at me and told me to try it, and I didn't know what the things at the bottom of the cup were. So I took a sip, and one of the little balls went up the straw, and I had gum in my mouth already. So the little gelly, flavorless disgusting thing mixed with my gum, and there were no trashcans around, so I had to play it off for five minutes until I could spit it out. And to make things worse, I had a stuffy nose so I couldn't close my mouth.

blehhh never again.

Sherri should come to San Jose! They're as common as Starbucks here.

I think these teas are way overrated. The little tapioca balls remind me of those one hundred year old eggs they make contestants eat on Fear Factor and chewing them is vexatious.

You don't have to get the balls though. Wink

is bubble tea just a "brand" or is it some weird drink I've never heard of?

It's good but not life-altering. Sherri'd probably be less enamored by it if it were more readily available in her area.
