Posted: Thu Dec 04, 2003 7:22 pm First of all, I saw Eisley play in Lawrence, KS, when I went to the Brand New concert. I left wanting more Eisley, lots more. It was refreshing to see a break from the standard "punk band" / Drive-Thru records pattern of emerging new bands. I met the girls afterwards and complemented them, I absolutely love the harmonics they form with each other. Anyways, Eisley you have a fan for life. Back to my post...I went to the concert and recognized the electric piano as a similiar sound as Supertramp and Queen, and I've been playing with a small group of local friends. I've been writing enough on keyboard that I am now in the market for performance equipment. I was wondering if anyone knew the model of electric piano Stacy plays on? As I recall it was a Wurlitzer, but I don't trust my memory, and all my searches only return home-models, no stage models. Perhaps it is a Fender Rhodes? In any case, it was a cool lookin piano w/ the 60's styled cushioning on it. Maybe Stacy or someone can let me know what type of piano this is so that I can try and find one similar? Thank you very much! _________________ I don't have much to say so I'm going to be quiet now. |

Yeah, she plays a Fender Rhodes. It has it's own thread: http://www.eisley.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=878 Stacy has mentioned the Wurlitzer saying, "Well......I used to use my wurlitzer organ at shows. But i was fearful for it's life, because it's quite old, you see. So Sherri and i just use it to write songs on in my room. Infact, we write almost all of our songs on it. We love it. it's completely magical." ( http://www.eisley.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=783 ) _________________ "If you're a ninja, every day is like friday." -Jamie M. |

SniperCharlie wasn't far off with the Wurlitzer guess, as those electric pianos sound quite similar--just a bit more raw and dirty. Oerhaps he got that idea from seeing quotes from Eisley about that Wurlitzer organ, which is a totally different instrument from the piano. |
