Since this is a Warner Bros. picture, what do you think the odds are of Eisley getting some play in commercials promoting this film? How would you feel hearing Eisley on the radio all the time? I think it'd be awesome

They tried... pushed it, walked it right in... they were super psyched about
the opportunity; they even talked to the director... I understand they like
the song but just don't feel it works for the movie. tsk tsk... at least Craig
and WBR team tried. i wasn't bummed... not sure why.

I guess Eisley's "Invasion" will either have to have a radio life of it's own
without the help of a blockbuster movie... or if it has no radio life... then...
we'll find life somewhere else.

Hey, i could make the album art look just like their poster; that way, we
could trick millions of the fans of the movie into thinking this is the sound
track!! yes!! We'll get even somehow. jk.

I wouldn't bet too much on it, but you never know. seeing how both are based on the exact same thing and would fit perfectly (ideally), but I don't know.

for all those who want more info

edit (after I already posted a couple seconds after boyd): sorry. i was wrong. But that's great WB brought you all up in conversation about the soundtrack (possibly even as the lead song for the movie.

That's disappointing. I'm glad y'all gave it a big push, though, that'd have been a really great way to launch an album. And you probably weren't too bummed about it because campy sci-fi remakes like these never do well anyway Laughing

At least they actually tried, so that's cool.

I'm glad they aren't going to be associated with the movie. Eisley stands out on their own, its kind of a dumb gimmicky move to just assume that because two pieces of art (here a movie and a song) share the same name that they are meant to be paired. People would assume Eisley wrote Invasion for the movie and that would detract from their true influence/creative drive for making the track. Sure it would be a nice quick cash in, but in the long run, you got to let the music stand for it self. Also when I think of movies with songs with the same name/theme I think of the horrendous "Deep Blue Sea" song/movie both headed by the one and only LL Cool J.

Well, I'm glad they were honest about it. I'd rather not have them on the film or the commercial, if it truly isn't a good fit.

Here is the trailer:

http://theinvasionmovie.warnerbros.com/

Nicole Kidman in The Invasion comes out 08/17/2007. Three days after "Combinations." Both on WB. I know that Boyd said Invasion did not make the soundtrack for The Invasion, but Eisley really needs to push their video for Invasion hard in the weeks leading up this movie. It doesn't need to be on the official soundtrack to capitalize off of the movie (or the movie to capitalize off of the song for that matter).

Picky, picky. Confused I deleted my thread before I bumped this one. So I use the search function (a big complaint around here) and now I get accused of bumping a 1 1/2 month old thread. Surprised

Nah, its good 'cause I think the original was in General, and believe it or not, not everyone checks that out regularly. Plus it was about Eisley, so I say good move with the delete/bump.

Yeah, now let's just hope the movie isn't a bomb. Laughing No matter, with it being the lead off single and a "key track" according to that Filter preview, it must be strong enough to hold its own. Well of course it is, its an Eisley song. Wink Very Happy

Yeah, I just wanted to throw a few emoticons out there that I don't use much! Twisted Evil I figured you didn't see the delete before the bump and was just having fun with it. Wink Arrow

I guess this is directed to Boyd:

So Craig as in Daniel Craig as in "Casino Royale was pretty awesome" Craig?

If he's a fan then I can think of 3 new Bond Girls/villians for a future film. They could be like Sirens to his speedboat and then eat him. Shall be glorious.
