I feel bad sometimes because I have a bit of a greedy attitude about sharing Eisley with others... new people, etc. I know that's life, it's all about sharing and experiencing/enjoying stuff together, you can't keep it all for yourself, but every now and then I get a twinge of "they're mine! my band!" Am I the only one guilty of this? Tonight, at the show - we sat on the lawn (as did about 500 other folk) and I was feeling slightly antsy/nerved out about the show all day (I-45 traffic didn't help, haha)... right as Eisley walked out on the stage and opened with "Marvelous Things," a group of about 4 people with lawn chairs and whatnot in hand got in front of us (stood in front of us, blocking any view of the show) and proceeded to set up their spot. I had to get up (this sounds so bad now that I'm actually reliving it) and walk down closer to the pavilion so I could actually SEE Eisley... take a breather and calm down, when I saw Chauntelle jamming out with the others, it gave me a sense of "Ok... I'm good"... I went back and sat back down with my hubby and enjoyed the rest of the show very much. Please don't hate, hah. I'm not normally an "aggressive" person. _________________ the thrill of Hope... the weary world rejoices. |

Bah. I know what you mean. But I want to share Eisley with thousands of others, though I definitely would prefer them to enjoy Eisley as much as I do, too. ha _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

i don't think its greedy to want a spot where you actually could see them at a concert -thats fairly reasonable ain't it? I mean you paid for the ticket! Also, I have more of an artistic bent then the rest of my direct family/cousins and find it really difficult to get someone interested in magritte, or literature, or radiohead, or eisley, or dylan, or chopin if they aren't the type to be interested in that in the first place. I think connection to art is a personal thing, you can introduce someone to art but if they don't make a connection to it, you can't really force them. I was shocked when my cousin didn't know who (lennon) or (lenin) is - what the heck do they teach in school these days? |

I used to be that way. It's so much better to share your favorite music with everyone, especially Eisley. It makes the world a better place. _________________ www.allisongill.net www.myspace.com/silverbugs www.last.fm/users/allisoncostello www.imahuman.tumblr.com www.isitreallysostrange.wordpress.com [i spend too much time on the internet, apparently.]

Yeah, I don't think it was bad that you actually wanted to see Eisley when they were performing. I mean, you didn't just buy a ticket to hear them while staring at the back of someone's head-- half of the reason for live music is to watch the band perform it 'cause it just adds to the whole experience. I love sharing Eisley with people. I think I turned the majority of my friends on to them. I don't like it though when someone who's never heard of them say they "suck." I mean, how idiotic is that? _________________ "I cannot discuss your verses; for any attempt at criticism would be foreign to me. part of me doesn't want CERTAIN people to find out about eisley because i feel they arent good enough to enjoy them. i just dont like the thought of bands getting extremely known. i like it when they are known, but not so big that they always play in huge ampitheatres with tons of people and bad seats. _________________

I'm that way, too, Girlylikepixieflamethrow. Yes, I feel bad, but I hate it when I've loved a band for a long time and then little annoying screaming crushing fan girls come along and are like "Oh mY gAh!!!!!1111 _______ iS tHe bEeEeEeSt EvEr!!!!" and don't even, like the rest of you have said, really appreciate the music. _________________ No one sensible believes in ghosts anyway- that's because they're all such liars. |

I like the fact that Midlake are big. It's just... all anyone knows are Head Home and Roscoe. I'm like, where's the kingfish pies man? Last time i saw 'em live we were very lucky to get balloon maker. (Don't get me wrong: i still effectively hyperventilate from excitement when i see 'em) _________________ She is handsome, she is pretty, she is the girl from Belfast City, she is courtin' one two three, please won't you tell me who is she?
