Hi to everyone,
the website building is moving on quite well www.freewebs.com/eisleyitalia!

I had a question for all of you. I found this cool website called spreadshirt where you can design t-shirts and sell them (http://www.spreadshirt.com/us/US/T-Shirt/Spreadshirt-1342/). I
was wondering whether I could make one or two with Eisley Italia - Spread the Word written on them and put them on my website (a bit like the Street Team thing) and I wouldn't make any money out of it for myself (just selling them at production cost). Can I do that or not?

Thanks,
Jan

I would say so long as you don't use their logo or likeness it should be okay. "Eisley" comes from the Star Wars universe so in a weird way they are borrowing the name from that franchise.

My sister's an artist - I'll ask her to make a logo.

My idea now is:

On the front: Eisley Italia
On the back: Let the Invasion begin (small print: www.eisley-italia.tk)

My sister is going to make the graphic design on it Eisley Italia will appear.

Anyways I saw there is one eisley fan shirt on cafepress with an official eisley picture. I won't post the logo, a picture or anything copyrighted.

I pm'd boyd twice about other things but he's probably way too busy. I can wait. It's not urgent.

But having people walk around Italy with Eisley t-shirts and an url might help a lot!

Thanks anyways

it should be ok, as long as you aint making profit.

Loads of folk made an LC tee a couple of years back. I remember a discussion about copywright etc back then (a plan, i think, was to have someone make 'em and send 'em out and get paid for costs... eventually we decided to make 'em ourselves. mine still isn't finished).

Yeah - it's not for profit, it's just for spreading the word!
And with no profit, they're even cheaper!

Then maybe the title shouldn't be "selling Eisley t-shirts".

The point is this Razz I'm going to work on a design and hand it to one of those websites like cafepress who will print on t-shirts, stickers, hats etc. and then I can create my own little shop which will then appear on my website.

It's the best way to get people to show off their Eisley passion Razz but it's not something I'll do now - I have to wait for the site some success and I'd like to talk to boyd about it.

That never answered my question. Mad Confused All I want is a "Yes, I am selling them" or a "No, I am not selling them.".

it's a roundabout answer, Nora.

A shop requires items to sell.

... Confused

Yes, but still. Is a yes or no answer that hard?

Gosh - don't know how to answer it.
What do you mean by selling them or not?

I don't sell them directly, I just make the artwork and choose what items to put it on but the money doesn't go to me - it goes to the cafepress thing for production costs and shipping costs.
