We're all hanging tight to our seats, hopefully awaiting the arrival of Combinations. Lucky for me, my pre-ordering payed off and I got my package early. Thought I'd share my special edition with everyone who couldn't order it. Enjoy.
Packet of gum to show the size. It's pretty much just a large and flat cardboard holder.
Can't blame WB for being cluttered, lol. They only shipped the CD/DVD, the litho and an order confirmation sheet.
Front of special edition CD/DVD case.
The little sticker on the front that advertises the DVD.
The back of the CD/DVD case.
The CD itself. The CD is actually "straight" because the song names are straight; it's the Eisley logo that's skewed to the side.
The DVD itself. I like the back cover art too.
The much sought-after litho. It's 5 1/2 inches x 15 inches, if you couldn't see it on the photo.
Detailed photo of litho: the left part. I think the scribble in the top-left corner is Weston's signature and the one on the bottom is Stacy's.
Detailed photo of litho: the middle part. The one to the bottom-left is Sherri's signature and the one to the right is Garron's.
Detailed photo of litho: the right part. Look's like Chauntelle's the only one that put effort into making her signature legible and not a complete scribble (Weston's
The CD insert. It's pretty much the same as the litho, except smaller and it has the cover art.
A look inside the CD insert. It contains lyrics to every song and a short "Thanks" section. I'm listening to the album as we speak. [Edit] I just finished watching everything on the DVD. It's... alright, I guess. There are only three parts to the DVD: The "Making Of," the Ventura concert footage and the Memories music video. As predicted, sadly... we've seen most of the "Making Of" footage via the YouTube Webisodes that Boyd put up a while back. Nothing really new there. And I think the little bits that we didn't see are going to be on Webisode #4. Also as predicted, the Ventura concert footage is professionally filmed and the quality is really good. Very clear. Multiple angles on every shot. The audio is pretty decent too (the crowd's surprisingly quiet!). Trolleywood is the last song of the night and it becomes this festive mix on stage with other musicians (probably the opening act or friend group). The Memories music video is... well, the Memories music video, lol. Overall, I'm a little disappointed with the lack of "Making Of" footage, but the Ventura concert footage was pretty good. |

I completely expected Weston to have a funky sig, and the moment I glanced at the litho, I knew that that little black scribble would have to be Weston's sig. Even though my litho is a little bit dented (probably hastily shipped), I still love it nonetheless. I tacked it to my cork board, next to my dresser. |

I'm not sure if UPS or any of the shipping companies work on Sunday. I'm not even sure which company sent the package, lol. I was at work the whole day and when I got back, my mom said something came for me. |

I never preordered mine. Lithos aside, I like the feeling of buying mine from a store. Though I probably should have reconsidered. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

Ah, well now that I have the litho, it's a different perspective. When I ordered it, I was really excited about having an autographed item. Now that I have it, it's not all that wonderful. *ducks to avoid the attacks, lol* Yes, it is autographed and everything, but it's still just a thin piece of cardboard, probably passed assembly-line-style from member to member, to join the stack of probably hundreds that they had signed. I paid a total of around $27 for everything and shipping. If I bought it at Target, it would've been like a total of $14. Quite a big difference. And I would've gotten the satisfaction of getting it myself. *shrugs* It's all good though, I'm pretty happy with it, and I could not have given up a chance for the DVD. I'll be watching that a little later. |

Binary Dragon wrote: Well, the good news is that when you compare the two lithos there were posted, we know know that they are actually signed as opposed to being autopenned. I suppose that's worth something. I don't think Eisley or their team would ever do something that foul to their fans. |

uh, you don't get the dvd with at 14 (target is really selling it that cheap?).... anyway, I don't understand what you mean by the "satisfaction of getting it myself". Between cooking lunch and having serving handing a nice lunch prepared for me I'd love the latter. I think its the same way with autographing all those things...it takes time and care to design/sign those lithos, its really a subjective thing if its worth it to you. edit: ughh..you're right, you can get the cd/dvd for about 15 bux on amazon. 10 bux is an expensive lithograph, grapnted its quite nice. |

I'm old fashioned, I guess. I don't like purchasing things through iTunes and the internet, generally, unless I can't get it in real life. Heck, I'd buy vinyl if I had a record player, lol. |

i have a record player, i love it (costs about 100 bux), and I have a collection of old records. Though its rare that i use it. Its just difficult to sit down and listen these days. I use my ipod+car. I really believe everyone should learn how to play an instrument decently...my idea of a good time is bringing friends over to play a little recital. EDIT: i've decided to not get the litho, 10 extra bux for a litho is kinda steep. I'm going to buy the cd/dvd combo, and give 10 bux to charity. though don't hesitate if you really want it. i have a the room noises signed copy and thats a prized possession. |
