Posted: Fri Jan 11, 2008 3:50 am So apologies if this has already been noted, but since both Radiohead's 'in rainbows' and eisley's 'combinations' both have alien invasion body snatcher songs as their second track, I believe this is proof that certain amazing bands are connected on higher musical planes.lol. Coincidence?? I think not! |

Also, Thom is exactly 20 years older than Stacy. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

It's all I need to know for sure that they should tour together this year. They need to decide Eisley are perfect openers for that upcoming tour. *sends brainwaves to Radiohead* _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

It seems many Eisley fans have love for Radiohead and the reverse could be true as well. Plus my brother would want to see Radiohead so he would see Eisley live and maybe see what I see in them. Perfect. _________________ Kulvir. |

Oh wow that would be amazing. Kind of like one of those comic books where one of your favorite superheros jumps in the storyline to help out your other favorite superhero. But yeah, they'd sell out in a skinny minute. A skinny second, even. Aaand they would never come anywhere close to SC I bet. |

in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter that you get tickets for them, they'd be exposed to a totally different fan base to some of the $#@! they have toured with thus far (no offense but brand new, NFG aren't exactly 'good, granted TBS were actually quite enjoyable, Snow Patrol and probably a few others are ok). Whether this could actually happen or not, who knows. Personally I think it would be a step in the right direction in terms of trying to get exposure through supporting bigger, better known bands. Even touring with the likes of TBS, whilst I enjoyed them, for me a waste of time 'cos most TBS fans don't seem to give a $#@! and are more interested in digging at Chauntelle for falling in love, or generally being unreceptive (ok I probably stereotyped about 1,000,000 people! - shoot me). I don't know. My 2 peneth worth anyway. _________________ "A mathematician is a blind man in a dark room looking for a black cat which isn't there." - Charles Darwin (legend) |

But the next two were better. Ha. Every time bands Eisley tour with come up, people seem to have this idea that they have their pick of who they tour with. While they can turn down tours, at this point in their careers, they would be wise to take most offers that come their way. I seriously doubt the fact that they toured with so-and-so will prevent Radiohead from saying "We have to take this band with us" one day. Maybe we should start a letter writing campaign to Radiohead. ha ha. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

That kind of behavior isn't exclusive to people who like crappy pop punk bands. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

I actually consider fans of that music (and metal) to be a little more receptive of something like Eisley than fans of more "similar" music. Among bands that Eisley have opened for, Snow Patrol is my closest post-Coldplay estimation of the target style that some fans seem to want. And I think I could count on one hand how many fans they got from that tour. No crowds were particularly bad that I know about, but it just did nothing. Though there were hostile people at TBS shows, at least they were fairly productive. I'm not saying it's going to be that case for every band like that, I think it just gives some credibility to the offers they accept. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |
