43 "guests" at 4:30 in the morning?
Insomniacs too tired to sign in, or for real lurkers? Cool

I think I've done enough damage for today...I better go to sleep. Smile

A lot of those guests on right now are Yahoo's spiders... 20 of em in fact. They like to descend on websites with multiple IPs so they can index everything quickly.

A little misleading, but there usually are a lot of real guests anyway!

Yeah! I was going to say there is another forum that I use, and occasionally spiders come up with users like "Google.com" and whatnot, just indexing. Had no idea Yahoo had so many!

Yahoo always has between 12 and 20 going on another forums I'm at. They have a phpbb add-on that tells on the main index what bots are on at any given time.

Wasn't me! I have enough sense to be in bed on a school night far earlier than that. Besides, I'm always logged in.

Creating records of websites and their contents so when you search on search engines it finds those key terms, links, etc.

That is why when you search your screenname (if you use the same one) you can find all of the websites you signed up for and/or posted on Wink

Well, I can stay up too, but I would regret doing so dearly.

I was probably on here. I get off work at 1:30 a.m. and frequently go to bed that late and later.
