This poll is seriously flawed.

You're either Christian, not religious or something else?

What about: Jewish, Hindu, Muslim, Buddist.

Perhaps someone needs a little diversity training.

+1. This thread is gonna get ugly soon, in large part because it ignores the religious preferences of two thirds of the world's population. Way to go. Rolling Eyes

Technically you could just answer other, then state waht you in a post.

I don't see why saying other is a bad thing.

do you like
milk?
orange juice?
Other?

That does not make it a bad poll.

I don't actively practice any religion. I did grow up attending a Methodist church, but stopped attending because the idea of getting up so early on a Sunday after spending all day Saturday rehearsing at my ballet school was not too appeal. But I do feel that I am very spiritual.

I have had some major let-downs on religion of late. I would love to trust in it(God) and all, but so many things seem to crush it.

I do not practice religion though. BEcause I am of the belief that christianity is not a religion.

Would you be willing to explain that? I'm confused.

Sure. It is pretty simple.

Religion is about doing things to apease your god.

That is not what Christianity is. Christianity is a relationship.

very true. I'm not sure what it is I believe, but I am very confident that there is an afterlife. Most people don't believe in it because they follow the horrible logic of "I only believe in what I see" Rolling Eyes

I admire people who can believe in a god (or many gods) but I personally can't.

So you'd be okay with a post that offers the options of Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, animism, nonreligious, and other?

This isn't a poll about breakfast beverages. Lumping several major and very distinct religions together under a miscellaneous heading is a pretty ignorant thing to do in a thread dedicated to religion. It demonstrates a very clear bias when the only specific options are Christianity and atheism. That does make it a bad poll.

You make a well thought out and valid point.

That is really all I have to say.

I am a youth leader at my church. I play guitar there as well. And I love every minute of it.

Wow, my words exactly. I too am a youth leader, and play guitar for my church.

I will also say that Agnosticism and Atheism don't really belong together...you know...at all. Agnostics aren't confirming or denying, while Atheists choose to embrace the cruel thorns of their logically thought out beliefs with sadistic glee.

Joking. Very Happy
