I am pretty sure we have done this before, but it's fairly ancient, so I'm going to start a new one to see what our current crowds think.

To me, the cashew is the center of teh nut/legume universe. It's followed by almonds and peanuts. Since I can't think of too many of them, I'll just do this poll among the most popluar ones ...

Which is your favorite?

Are these all dried? If yes, I have to pick pistachios. I really like hazel nuts a lot though. If I can have boiled peanuts then that's my favorite.

I didn't really think it through that much, but sure. Laughing

Cashews are second only in greatness to macademias. Mmmmmmmmm.

Cashews for sure as far as raw nuts go. But peanuts win out when they are ground into peanut butter.

You should add "My awesome puns" as a choice. Razz

Macademias are incredible, but crazy high in calories & saturated fat.

I like all of those, I'd say peanuts are my least favorite to just eat. Almond butter is pretty good too, but it's like, $10 a jar. And I think you can only eat so many almonds without getting sick of them. Found some pretty good ones that are cocoa roasted though.

Ugh I hate Cashews. I love Brazil nuts though. They're the best. Chocolate coated. Mmmmm.

Walnuts are my absolute favorite, but nuts in general are one of my favorite foods. So long as they aren't salted, that is.

I voted for peanuts because I they are the way in which peanut butter is made and they have a ton of health benefits.

I love cashews and "almonts" ( Razz Wink ) as well...

They count coconut as an actual nut in this one site that I was looking at...

So that would be my favorite out of all nuts even though it sure seems like a rather large nut...Ha.

Almonds! (I nearly got a kilo of them in Barcelona- they were so sweet and good, Morocco ahd some mighty good ones too if you can go into a small town and get it in the markets)

Pecans and hazelnuts are great too. I use those two the most in baking.
