Totally. Laughing And shouldn't this milk go towards nourishing an infant in the first place??

Yeah it should, because then they'll end up in this situation:

Other than the fact that it would deprive an infant of its mothers milk (which I'm not sure it would), I don't see what is so disgusting about the concept.

Lol, I sincerely hope their reason for this is because obviously the idea of drinking human milk nauseates the majority of us, yet humans are perceived to be cleaner and superior, but we'll gladly drink the same kind of milk from an animal, something that is perceived to be dirty and stupid. It's all conditioning.

That being said, hell no, I would never drink anyone's breast milk. I'm much too conditioned. Razz

Honestly, human milk in ice cream is not a big deal at all. I'm sure it would taste very similar, and you've probably already drank gallons of it before.

from peta

Quote:
"The fact that human adults consume huge quantities of dairy products made from milk that was meant for a baby cow just doesn't make sense," says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. "Everyone knows that 'the breast is best,' so Ben & Jerry's could do consumers and cows a big favor by making the switch to breast milk."

So taking milk from a baby cow is not ok, but taking it from a human baby is?

That there defines peta to a "t"

That's pretty much my stance. Laughing

I'm pretty sure humans don't produce as much milk as cows, either ... I guess it makes good publicity.

I could imagine, I'm about to eat Cereal so i check in the fridge, and I'm out of milk. So i just go to the girl next door to ask if i could get a refill. Laughing

I think it would probably be fine to consume, but i just find it strange, and not as productive, as cow milk. they produce a lot of milk, all day everyday pretty much,( people don't mind hooking em up to machines) in comparison to humans, and how many women would be willing to give milk away, or attach themselves to milking machines all day.

I probably wouldn't wanna eat the ice cream.

Humans have the choice to do it willingly Wink

Either way, I'm almost certain that the letter was just a way to spread an idea around, I don't think Tracy actually expected it to work.
