Demo Lost at Sea? I laugh...totally not at you; but, well, it was demo'd on a Cassette player in their bedroom. It's so lo fi...it's B-lo-fi. (below fi? get it?) I think nobody in their right mind would release something like this. Which is why I did it. Understand...it's rough, rough, rough...so rough...it's hak. It's beautifully raw. Why is Chad's version of Lost at Sea (on straylight) is so small? I have a big one. That one is smaller than the one I posted first. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. the Strokes put demos as their B-sides(i havne't heard them yet).....i think that would be kinda crummy, because i always want to hear more songs......but, maybe you (Boyd) can save stuff like this for special occasions......like Christmas time, or one of the band member's birthdays, etc......you can post them then or something........Wilco had a link through their CD to a secret site.......then a year or so after the CD came out they put up a 6 song EP to download for free........it even had 3 different covers/artwork to download.......pretty nifty........that's the stuff that builds fans........it seems you already know this........you're good to us Boyd......thanks _________________ I am Torgo. I'm real into free... and into secret... and stuff that mainstream wouldn't accept... and hidden links. When I rebuild the flash site, maybe I'll do some hokus pokus to wig out your receptor pods. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. you should totally go behind everyone's backs with all kinds of secrets, so far behind backs that it appears in front of them in such mundanity that they say "pshaw" and ignore it. then you can gloat over the extreme secrecy of it all. hidden right in front of their faces! aha! but i'd like to see some new flash site. that'd be swell. _________________ hello. |

When I rebuild the flash site, maybe I'll do some hokus pokus to wig out your receptor pods. yeah. i remember when i first got into Radiohead.....during the OK Computer era......i would go to their site and it was one long endless quiz thing......you would pick one answer or another and each would take you to another or a page with what seemed like meaningless words (that usually ended up being lyrics for songs off of the next album)........but one thing they've never really done is give away much free stuff online.......during the Amnesiac period though, Capitol sent me a bunch of free stickers, posters and even the College EP _________________ I am Torgo. Right, but our problem would be...this forum. Once homesick_alien broke the inigma, he'd download the scoop to you guys in what would cause a static, blue field of electrical gas...and the lot of your waggen, giddy, mind-pods would beam with illuminated brilliancy...and the cackeling and spewing of your oafen gurgles would echo like waves through the world wide web. And the former secret, once revealed, would have galactic impotence. For suddenly, all 7 of you would become all knowing...as I. And certainly, an unparalleled parabolical skew in my mind-continuum would occur....causing an implosition. Yes, a vaccum of universal consequence. TEMPTERS!! silence your boov-boov impactors. Or I will swoop dog...and the pummeling will embarken. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. anyone notice you can hear some sort of talking or laughing in the "demo" of Lost at Sea. I thought it was neat. Man, I finally hear what you've been talking about in the tour journals, Boyd. _________________ signed: Omygosh, Emperor of Shmo **the turtle stamp of approval** www.soulstrum.com |
