Just posted this in Trolleywood journal @ 4am. If you'd like, read, post something over there and we can have dialogue here. gRegor and I talked yesterday about tying these together so we can have forum kind of conversation. Eventually he can - but for now... I was clever and just created a mirror post referencing the other post. Thanks. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. If anything as far as labels go, a distribution deal is the only useful anymore. I'm thinking a good title for my article will be "The Zombie Frog and the Prince: Eisley escapes Warner Bros." _________________ yup, that's my name. yea! - right? I SO enjoyed pushing the button on that post. Editing at 6am was low-risk too... I mean - who is up? Wait - WHY are you guys up? There are already lengthy comments on the journal. I thought i was the only deranged psycho-moron staring into a monitor this time of morning. Guess not. This stuff is important to me. To bed now. 6:35am. ZZZzzzz. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. I work in a grade school, MO got hit with snow and cold and wind, but they wait till the last minute if it's not a "wintery mix" or ankle deep, thus, I got a 5:30AM phone tree call for a Snow Day. Great news cept the early rise And me and Jamie are both Pisces, as if that's a factor... He's a hard worker, me, I hardly ever work... And that David Bazan reference resonated DEEPLY with me. Way to drive the point home. Nail, Head & Thumb (cause the truth hurts). _________________ yup, that's my name. FOR YOUR RATING PLEASURE: 4 LIKE Buttons, 1 NEUTRAL, 1 VEXED, 5 DISLIKE buttons. G'night Boyd. When you awake this thread will have blown up! I doubt anyone will express surprise. Its been a long time coming and will be greeted joyfully at the LC. I'm still wondering about the timing for the announcement. Hopefully you have all the legal done and so the timing is right in every way. I do like the idea that Eisley will be able to do as they want without any outside consultation. If they want to color their careers completely outside the lines, they won't have to answer to anyone but themselves. I'm looking forward to everything Eisley a little bit more now. _________________ |

Finally! Can't say I'm not a bit nervous for you guys... but then again I was nervous for you guys when you were on WB, too. No matter what happens I just hope you guys find yourselves in a position in the industry you're truly happy with - whether that be independent or on a better label. _________________ |

Congratulations Boyd! Freedom is such a glorious thing in this industry. My favorite band The Innocence Mission left A&M after 3 albums to go indie. My wife's favorite band Hanson left to go indie...and now OUR favorite band Eisley has left to go indie.... Guess what...both The Innocence Mission and Hanson are still recording and releasing music and playing live when they want to. It proves if you love music as much as you guys do, it's definitely possible to make music that people enjoy and continue making it for years to come. Best of luck you guys. You deserve it! _________________ http://www.myspace.com/keithabbott |

VICTORY! I'm stoked! I hope nothing but the best happens for the band from this departure. _________________ "I cannot discuss your verses; for any attempt at criticism would be foreign to me. Nothing touches a work of art so little as words of criticism." -- Rainer Maria Rilke |
