I'm kinda interested in what percentage of the LCers are right brain or left brain dominant...I know for sure I'm right brain dominant...like almost all the way

This site has info on each:
http://www.angelfire.com/wi/2brains/

I'd say I'm right brain dominant because I'm not good with words or getting my ideas across with words, I'm musically inclined, I'm creative, and governed by my emotions. I usually don't think before I say things and I'm also into art. I know I'm a dreamer and am also random...definitely absent minded...but it's funny how much right brain domination is like ADD...I have ADD haha

Left brain dominant people are more introverted...and more like those people who are classified as 'smart' in school...that's what my younger sister is, but I am what I am...She keeps her room orderly and neat, I've always preferred things to be slightly messy

But i think this is very interesting...everyone's in between, but they're also dominated by one side and it should be pretty easy to tell

I remember being told in grade school the side of your body you favor indicates the dominant side of your brain. It may not have been accurate,but I'm right handed, so there you go.

My honest opinion is that most of the attributes they use to determine brain dominance differ before and after puberty, and blunt force trauma.

~~~~~~~~~~~TOOK THE QUIZ~~~~~~~~~~~~
It didn't really apply in some cases, but anyway:
L= 10
R= 8
Left brain by a narrow margin. My Grade school teachers simple way of telling was all the deductive reasoning needed after all.
Eh, I don't know to be honest.
That is a pretty simplified way of looking at the brain however.
Women use both sides of their brain at once. Men can only use one at a time. It's a fact. Crazy.
Just look at my answers:
I expected it to be right, because I am right handed and I am more comfortable sitting on the right side of desks and things like that.
No it's not...
Anyway, I got 8 Ls and 7 Rs.
Inconclusive.
Probably means I have too much brain to know what to do with.
Wait, I thought it was the side opposite of your dominant hand that was the dominant brain side. Aw, whatever. I just did this in psych and I don't think it's really accurate.
On an unrelated note, I'm super stoked for when our class watches this video...
Just watch the video. Don't read the side or the comments.
Yeah, that's what I was saying too... and the Video, I'd seen it before, but forgotten about that important detail, which cracked me up! Pretty genius, and humbling all at once. Laughing
As for the Gender thing, what about people who are transgendered then??? Which side of their brain is dominant eh???
I thought it had something to do with which hand you wrote with, but then we'd be a world filled with many, many logical thinkers and very few creative thinkers
^unless people were socialized to strive to be contrary and individual; then changed their behavior from what came natural to the opposite in a myriad of ways across cultures to validate their egos and need to self -actualize because it felt illogical to live unacknowledged as part of a collective when you have desires to be accepted as an individual. Yeah, that's not a reliable source for me. I'm in a Sex and Gender Psychology class and we talked about that last week.
"Female-Male differences in lateralization are small, with sex accounting for only 1 to 2% of differences in lateralization." - Hiscock et al., (1994). Is there a sex difference in human laterality? I. An exhaustive survey of auditory laterality studies from six neuropsychology journals. Journal of Clinical and Experimental Neuropsychology, 16, 423-435.
Also, quoting from my textbook: "Clearly, research in this area is not yet at the stage at which it can be cited with confidence to prove or disprove the hypothesis of greater male than female lateralization."
As well, just to let you know, people claim that greater lateralization of males equates to superior processing ability, so I'm not sure why you're arguing the point in the first place...
