I'm pretty sure they're just burned CD's, nothing fancy, but I could be wrong.

She's got two new songs up on MySpace. Neither one really wows me at this point, but I'm sure if they get developed further that "I Give Up" will become a favorite of mine, as it's a little more upbeat that her usual stuff. Smile

I frequent her myspace/youtube, so I saw it shortly after it was posted. I ripped the audio from youtube and listen to it quite a lot.

I can't wait till I can actually buy her music. (I'm still waiting for her to send those home-made CDs...)

is she selling some music now?

i am a fan on Myspace where i have not seen a Blog or Bulletin this year, but her Twitter is not open to Public.

According to her facebook, shes selling CDs of her EP through paypal.

You can actually view her twitter by just sending a friend request. Very Happy

Has anyone got one?

I'm wondering what the package is like.

Just kidding

I just received her demo cd in the mail. Mine is just a plain cd in a slim jewel case. It has hand written song list, labels and small thank you note. It has a couple of demos that I think were never put up on her Myspace: Come With Me and I Couldn't Stand(which is the one that goes "Pull Me Out of the Water") and the audio of Be Not Lost. The other 4 songs are Tried and True, Empty Threats, Blackout and Safe. A solid group of songs, it's cool to get the previously unreleased ones. So yeah the packaging is not fancy but it sounds good and the price is like an investment towards hopefully helping her at least a little bit with future music. Also it smells like candy! I think, or maybe it's just the ink.

As a side note, Chrissy Dupri was good too. I bought her EP, which was just a
small set of home recordings burned to CDR. It was untitled, but she personally
signed each copy. I asked her, hey, "could you give my copy a name? Any name
will do." So she randomly titled it "Zah" (which is also the name of a Middle
Eastern rhythm, but I'm not sure if she knew that). So technically, I think I
can say that I have the only existing copy of her limited edition EP "Zah." It
shall soon hit eBay for 50K..."

they say home recordings, but i think this should be new stuff that Darren King helped her record, so they may sound more polished - he did the O Holy Night thing, right?

in the past, i took it Christie just recorded it herself with that ball microphone. not sure though.

unfortunately, she did not have anything for sale at the Brewtone's show unless i missed it on the table.

I think the Darren King tracks are still in production, and that was definitely talked about, I forget when and where, but because he was on the road with Mutemath they hadn't gotten as far as they were planning to... There's a new thread about it if you didn't see and they talk about the EP there.

You'd have to put up a link, because when I Searched Christie this is the only one that seemed to have a sole Christie Subject.

I think what I'm thinking of is something Boyd wrote recently on Facebook. That's why I was surprised, because I had read they weren't finished with Darren thing as well - it led me to believe they were releasing some of it anyway.

**see it now** it was posted after i wrote that last message apparently.

Am I dreaming or does this sound very Christie-y?

Or maybe I'm hearing a big influence on her.

I meant Feist having a vocal influence on Christie. I worded that weird. If you took this Feist track and relabeled it as a Christie song and said it was from her recent recording sessions it would fool people.

It sounds like her in a few spots but for the most part the voice and style is different, to me.

The big news from the Eisley livestream chat via Boyd if I remember correctly, is that Andy Freeman is going to be working with Christie soon.

Yeah I caught that. Didn't a sibling mention her recording in New Orleans within the last few months?
