There's a thread somewhere about favorite Eisley songs and that topic came up, I think the majority of folks were with the EP2 version as well. And to build on your theme, the hook on that one is very Beatlesesque. _________________ yup, that's my name. FOR YOUR RATING PLEASURE: 4 LIKE Buttons, 1 NEUTRAL, 1 VEXED, 5 DISLIKE buttons. I don't have the versions right in my head. There's one version of Room Noises and one version of Laughing City that I hate because of how slow they are. It just doesn't sound right to me. Funny because the slower version of TE is my favourite. Good thing they made a few versions so we can all have our favourites. _________________ Trying to find my way around a dark life, always breaking the important things... |

the laughing city version is my least favorite. i like the room noises and EP2 versions since they both seem to be at the right speed with their singing. like room noises goes fast, but it catches you, EP2 is slow but it's sung and played in a way that it fits and that it wants you to listen to all the emotion. laughing city though sounds like it wants to be fast but it's not quite there and it's just dragging itself. it may be a little harsh but that version sounds like it's about to die. _________________ Oneironaut http://www.facebook.com/ChengBand |

TE (RN version) came on shuffle and I pretended to hear it for the first time, and then remembered why it caught my attention: it really is a pretty good song with a catchy riff, great harmonies (fave part @ 2:35), and lyrics to think a little bit about. The LC version is too plodding for me, but I bet 90% of people prefer the version they heard first anyway. _________________ http://www.twitter.com/drstrangeblog http://www.last.fm/user/getinline I can't find the time to write my mind the way I want it to read. |

So what's the song about? I always thought it was a really clever tale of two people who were friends, but one is all dorky with glasses and braces... And the one being called out to play is saying, "Don't make me cry" because he/she is conflicted between that friendship and popularity... or something... |

one of my friends in high school who's dad apparently knows boyd said it's about how sherri doesn't want to admit she's a geek. haha side note: when her dad arranged for her to meet eisley she freaked out and he was like, "you're never meeting them again." also, she had them sign even the moss eps and were surprised to see she had them. _________________ Oneironaut http://www.facebook.com/ChengBand |

I'm super jealous.. of the fact that she met them and that she actually has MossEisley eps.. |
