Golly, Poster

Ok so, I just opened my Marvelous Things EP and listened to the Winter Song for the first time. I kept thinking, this kind of sounds familiar but I know I've never listened to it before...

and then I realized it sounds pretty similar for certain melodic lines as (a little less bouncy than) this:

the song is Rewind by Christie Dupree. How crazy is that?

I think they may even be in the same key.

But maybe it's just me.

Her opening vocal melody is reminiscent of the opening melody on Winter Song, and yeah, it does sound like the same key. Plus, she and Stacy sound a lot alike so that doesn't hurt.

Not just you! They do both start in a very similar fashion. Nice catch.

Except it's Sherri singing lead on TWS.

I was pretty sure it was Sherri, cause Stacy's voice hadn't gotten as rich as it is now, but that's what I get for combining two independent observations. I should have just said "she sounds like her sisters." as an aside. I knew better. Embarassed
