Has anyone heard/seen this commercial? It's being played on the radio and on TV in many cities in the south. They totally ripped off Eisley. It sounds just like the verse from " I Wasn't Prepared For This". Don't you agree? Of course Eisely's sounds way better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cnDJpWvQHqk |

You're not alone, we talked about it at length on this thread right here http://www.eisley.com/laughingcity/viewtopic.php?t=37880 It's called "Eisley and Mississippi Radio Ad" or something to that affect. _________________ yup, that's my name. speaking of which, we brought up the bridges. they have a video on myspace and it seems to borrow from telescope eyes. same with part of the guitar line, but in a different key after the first chorus _________________ Oneironaut http://www.facebook.com/ChengBand |

Yeah, there was a whole thread that trashed them for the most part, with a little support here and there. Kim was the one who started the thread I think... maybe not. But I think it's been hosed by the passage of time. All that you mentioned was discussed though, the garb, the arrangements, the siblings, every possible similarity imagined was drug through the ringer. _________________ yup, that's my name. Quit picking on my girlfriend's band! They're Eisley fans but not rip-offs. Here's the old thread from 2 years ago, it was originally about Chauntelle's guitar.: http://www.eisley.com/laughingcity/viewtopic.php?t=35032&postdays=0&po storder=asc&highlight=bridges&start=15 _________________

I did not say one derogatory thing about the Bridges cause I like their music, I took the slamming with a grain of salt and came back to the record later when I was in a countrier mood, cause at first I only like Pieces, I think that was the single. I really dug that song, but the snippets of the others were not the same kind of thing so I was let down, but then the mood hit me and I "got it". I am typing this with a smirk cause it's all in good fun, plus I am now a supporter of theirs, sort of. _________________ yup, that's my name. the lead singer for the bridges sounds like she has a lisp when she sings....can't take it. The line "We always lose our hearts in the strangest places...picking up the peices we break....I just tell you bout it" Its real hard to listen to. The lisp just kills me. _________________ "I should have listened to my friends" www.myspace.com/georgeproject www.purevolume.com/jesusworshiper |

I like this chick A LOT http://www.amazon.com/Alva-Leigh/dp/B0030C1V94 Nothing wrong about being influenced by Eisley like she is. It's honestly like Eisley throwback... to a time before Room Noises. Me rikey a lot. |
