So, I'm certainly way late on this, but I stumbled across this on YouTube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xewk7OgIrPU&NR=1

When and why was this made?

I noticed Garron is in it, so obviously somewhat semi-recently.

Haven't seen this in awhile.
I loved everything in the video except CG Top Hat guy. He animates so awkwardly.

The rest of perfect, though.

Heh, I clicked on that while listening to Promentory from the Last of the Mohicans soundtrack and thought they added some really awesome strings to the song >.>

It was made before Combinations came out... so not so recently. It came out in 2006. I was just looking around online for when it released. I was thinking it came out in 2006 but was wondering if I was wrong. Turns out, no, I wasn't.

I first saw that video on www.strangeyellowpatterns.com a year or two ago I think, was totally ignorant of its existence up till them.

I always assumed that guy in the top hat was Mr. Pine.

yeah it has been around for a while.

it was out before combinations and is available on the combinations LE dvd disc.

there was not a good quality version out there for a while. then i passed a dvd rip around here for a while. then, not to toot my horn, I asked boyd to post it on youtube, and he did.

I love the video, guy in top hat and all. it is certainly the best Eisley video around.

Weird, I thought it was a really well-known video, at least here. I can't remember where I saw it first, probably on Youtube but I saw it long before I got it on the Combinations DVD.

Nah that guy is Grain Thrower. I thought Mr. Pine was a Christmas tree.

^Ha Laughing well I never!

I always assumed Grain Thrower (the LCer) was just making a reference to Iowa's agricultural tendencies ( I went to college 45 minutes from the MO-IA border and almost attend Iowa State, and have seen miles of fields to back this claim). Now his Icon (at least what it was, not sure what it is now) is explained.

Since I didn't frequent the board until 08' (03-07 were Trolleywood only years for me) I missed out I guess? I'm guessing Mr. Pine is in some art that's been used at some point. I'm sure SYP has it on their. Bout' time I got my facts straight eh Very Happy

Didn't Garron join the band in mid-06?
Was this one of the first things he did with the band?

I've never even heard that the tophat guy had a name. Interesting. And I'd not heard of the Mr Pine figure before either. How is this possible? Laughing
