So, I know we already have a thread like this, but with the album there's a new sound. At this point, who would you like to see Eisley tour with?

I think Beach House would be perfect. I wasn't initially sold on Teen Dream--I liked a few songs quite a bit, but didn't really get into the album as a whole until recently.

Sleeping at Last, Young the Giant, Good Old War...I don't know really. Way to hard to pick.

With the new songs added to the setlist (aka upbeat melodic rock and sophisticated mid-tempo laments) they have a good enough expanse of styles to play with all kinds of bands, but I'm holding out hope more headline runs than opening slots this go around. That said:

Headline:

Company of Thieves makes too much sense right about now if I had my druthers, but I don't think their album's done yet. Another run with Vedera would be a nice treat too. I'm not down on male fronted bands, just can't think of any or solo artists, that would match up well, and be legit openers

As Support:

U2, why not swing for the fences, I have no desire to see Interpol in a Stadium, but I think Eisley's ready!

Death Cab if and when they tour.

If Ryan Adams tours the 3/4 material, it would make sense to pair them up given his wide range of styles and that albums take on upbeat modern rock and mid tempo ballads.

The Decemberists just finished up a tour. It would have made more sense, I think, to go with them than with Rooney (there were quite a few Rooney fans in the Chicago audience who were mocking the girls and calling them "stupid" because they talked about cupcakes). Really, they need to go tour with a band that's more melodic and less hard core or upbeat than the bands they usually open for.

They could get Jeremy Larson to go with them and Stacy could open w/ some of her solo stuff!

I think they should tour by themselves and play two sets Laughing

I see nothing wrong with that. Christie and Collin could do a set in between the sets.

I'd love Eisley to have openers like...

Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin
Margot & the Nuclear So and So's
Mates of State
The Envy Corps (again)
Minipop
Freelance Whales
Smith Westerns (They cleaned up their lo-fi sound slightly on the recent album. Also, they have some incredibly cute songs! But this is probably the longest long-shot ever. LOL.)

Oh, I'd love Christie as an opener and them headlining, but I think a tour with peers could be a little more helpful. A lot of people have forgotten about Eisley, it seems.

I don't know if this is crazy or not, but if shooting for big acts to open FOR... why not Taylor Swift?
