I have a sneaking suspicion that The Valley will not be the last time we hear from Eisley, but I've seen good bands quit after a few albums all the time. It's usually because it's financially draining to keep going. But also, people get married and have kids. Once that happens, the incentive to hit the road and tour tends to shrink. Or at least, that's what I've noticed.

at some point we are all going to have to face the fact that eisley, as a band, will cease to be.

not all bands last forever.

not saying i want it to happen this year or even the next five.
but it will happen at some point.

I am still totally against this thread's existence. But who am I to pass up an opportunity to blab nostalgic Razz

I know I started this thread, but I feel the same way. I'm surprised people are still replying to this actually Laughing I just thought this random comment I found was a bit funny because it seemed so ridiculous. Oh well..

I'm gonna take this thread to the next level:

At some point Eisley can just do a Shift Change like the Dallas Stars - Christie Collin can get the first call-up. There are plenty of cousins, so in the tradition of Garron's call up, you can snag one of em', and now there are In-Laws you can plug in to accommodate any band resignations/ semi-retirements, Skynyrd Style, minus the personal tragedies that prompted theirs. And then there's the next generation, which is already older than Stacy was when she started, at least I think so right???

Yes I'm being silly. But there's a little truth to every joke, so yeah, I think MY world is a better place with Eisley/ the Duprees in it, in whatever capacity it is they exist. I don't think anyone's at fault for hoping it stays that way for a good long while, under the best possible circumstances for all parties involved.

And a band doesn't have to tour to create and release music so long as the find viable means to support their craft (like music and merch sales, licensing etc.) The can pull a Chuck Berry (playing monthly shows at a a small venue here in STL or one of the casinos) or a Prince (opening 3121 in Vegas as his own personal club) and just be an artist in residence at Brewtones, and let the fans come to them on occasion, with the one-off festival date or showcase gig in a large market or central locale.

Just Harebrained schemes.

Don't you think that kind of speculation is a bit premature at this point? Hope so anyway.

This entire thread is ridiculous in my book, so I went with it, what I say is semi-plausible ridiculousness. Wink
