I've done a little bit of work on Eisley's wiki page and added most of the stuff on "The Valley". I agree there's a lot more to be done/cleanedup. Anything you'd like to see?

i think there needs to be a little more chronicling done of the room noises, combinations, and the valley-present eras. kinda like what a lot of band/artist pages on wikipedia has. cause honestly, i feel like if i were a new fan looking for info on the band, the article in it's current state wouldn't be too much help

"Eisley is a rock band from Tyler, Texas, consisting of four siblings (Chauntelle, Sherri, Stacy, and Weston DuPree) and their cousin (Garron DuPree), all of whom were born and live in Texas. Although the band's name translates to ice island in several Germanic languages, it was actually selected by the bandmates because of its link to the Star Wars saga (i.e. Mos Eisley)."

Hmmm...interesting, I did not know that.

Peter Sellers is THE SHITE.

(Great how LC doesn't censor the English, only targets our American cussitude.)

A rock band? That's news to me. I thought they were way more indie than rock. Confused

It says Indie Rock, Indie Pop under Genre. But a rock band is a rock band. That's what Eisley is. Indie isn't a genre, it's a business model. All ____ Rock Bands are still Rock bands. It's a shame the term Rock has all this baggage. I mean, Eisley rocks after all right???

To be honest, Even though they are on an Indie label now, which really makes them indie: Eisley's music has never had any of the limitations that some indie music has had. They aren't pigeonholed by a particular genre, or production aesthetic. They've always been ambitious musically, always sounded lush. They weren't making music that was like what was currently popular at the times they're released their albums, but always manage to achieve a sense of Timelessness in their best songs.

My perspective is that of someone who was 14-16 when Alternative was at it's Peak (1990-1995) and the Indie stuff that was around then was nothing like what we call Indie now. What's indie now would have just been Alternative, which enveloped so much. When I think about it now, Eisley is Timeless Pop Rock Done Right, a good blend of the late 60s, 70s, and 90s, with a modern flair.

Are people still calling things indie and pretending it means something? That is the laziest term. It doesn't tell anyone anything about the actual music. What happened to vocabulary?
