I admit I saw some tweets a while ago, but I had no idea of the full picture. More info at http://spreadkimslove.wordpress.com/, but it looks like she suffered a stroke-like scenario. Pretty scary, especially with the lack of medical insurance. Equal Vision tweeted this eve that there are shirts, with the proceeds going to the family. shirts at: http://eisley.merchnow.com/ I'm gonna do some jiggling of my finances. why not? _________________ She is handsome, she is pretty, she is the girl from Belfast City, she is courtin' one two three, please won't you tell me who is she? ouch! by, like, one minute though! in my defense, I was with my girlfriend at the time, and was sort of distracted by the phonecall she was havnig at the time... ok, no excuses. I've decided to buy one, but I can't decide between black and olive. I'm thinking Olive. but that might make me look ill. I seriously can't decide between black and olive. It's a strenuous dilemma. _________________ She is handsome, she is pretty, she is the girl from Belfast City, she is courtin' one two three, please won't you tell me who is she? I read through the wordpress comments, and two things stuck out: 1.) How kind some people are. I wish I had $150, $200 to donate like some. They are truly wonderful for doing that. If I wasn't currently eating ramen for just about every meal, I would be donating as much as possible. 2.) The following comment/suggestion: Quote: What if Eisley (and any other family related bands) put up home demos of songs, even unreleased, that people could buy to help the cause? I think that's actually a great idea, and I have a feeling a lot of people who wouldn't normally just donate money would buy that. There are a lot of demos and such out there already, obtainable in illegal ways. Why not package them together and sell them? Just a thought. |

I wonder if they'll do a benefit? I think they should use their celebrity as much to their advantage as possible and not worry about it, because no one should lose their home or not receive adequate health care, let alone the kind of mother who could give such a big part of themselves to raise and support her children. Not saying they are worrying about that, but just in case they were, that's my two cents. I wish her a speedy recovery. |

I really want to buy the grey one. And I think a benefit concert would be a great idea, along with releasing demos and stuff to raise more money for her. Those would be great revenues to go to for some extra cash inflow. I sent her a get well card and am trying to buy a shirt or donate some money once I get some cash. _________________ cynlovescandy wrote: kulvir wrote: I bet R. The link to the shirt on the Spread Kim's Love site is a link to the blue shirt only. It might not seem like a big deal, but I think it'd be better if it was a link to the main merch site with all the colored shirts--because some people would be more likely to buy the grey or green one than that royal blue color... might get more donation money? Plus, the other colors aren't under "related items" either. On another note, it's touching how many fans have donated and shared their kind words . Kim truly is an amazing woman and deserves nothing but good things. _________________ Previously user holland, 2005. Wow, I've been away from Laughing City and Eisley's Twitter for a month or so... I had no idea about Kim's situation until I read this thread. Definitely buying a T-shirt for myself and another for my daughter Samantha as well. Our love and prayers to Kim for a fast and full recovery _________________ Dan and daughter, Samantha - We Love Eisley! |
