Dim font color against black background = difficult to see without crankin' the contrast on my monitor. I think there's a setting where you can see the forum in a different style. chasd00 wrote: it would be cool if you could search in a particular thread. some of the threads get really large. That's a great idea. I also recommend a clearer set of forum rules and guidelines. Statements like "avoid such and such topics" isn't as clear as "do not start such and such topics; starting topics deemed contoversial by the mods will be locked or removed." In my mind, either some things are allowed or they aren't. Really, my problem is... I've seen some "controversial" topics get locked that seemed OK to me (everybody was respectful, etc)... and I've seen others remain unlocked. That which is deemed appropriate seems based more on the mood of the mod than on a specific set of rules. And that's fine since this is a privately owned and controlled forum, but it leaves some of us members confused sometimes. I don't mind rules at all, but I do mind when they aren't enforced consistently. But I realize this forum is growing quickly and it's hard to keep up with all the topics. Perhaps more mods? _________________ "If you're a ninja, every day is like friday." -Jamie M. |

Ideally that would be nice, but when Eisley gets bigger I worry that the forum will catch the attention of jerks who purposefully don't follow the rules. It won't matter if there's another section of the forum for specific topics; in fact, the more diversification there is, the more I think the jerks would be tempted to post offensive stuff in, say, Eisleyblog. What to do about that is going to have to be up to the Mods The self-governing thing is pretty cool, maybe we'd luck out and won't have to worry about that....well, one can hope anyway _________________ For gooey nuggets of aimless rambling: http://www.myspace.com/malfaiteur I wrote your name in red chalk on the sidewalk in front of my house. |
