Reddit is probably the closest thing I am aware of. Don't know if there is an eisley subreddit, but that would be the contemporary equivalent if there was one.

I wish forums were still the be-all and end-all of online interaction. Twitter and such can be very impersonal and fleeting.

The other places are too nebulous. It's too hard to keep a community. Everyone is on Facebook and it's still so hard to be social. It's weird.

People still treat it like the real world in a lot of cases.
For instance, I can try to contact my cousin and/or his wife and they won't respond, but I will see them posting on Facebook pretty frequently. They have even ignored posts I made directly to them on their own Page. In person they will act like nothing has changed.

I figured out one way to 'force' them to respond to something I did. They made a post and I noticed that they were Liking every Comment people made on it, so I posted a Comment just to make them Like it. If I wrote the same thing somewhere else on their Page they would not have responded. Weird, huh?

I'm sure you have all been on Facebook long enough to know someone who never responds or posts on there, but then you will see them in person and they will bring up something they would have only heard from seeing it on Facebook.

Whew, I thought it really was the end. Thursday morning I noticed there was only 1 other person online so I waited till they left and took a screenshot to post as a joke.

Then when I refreshed this came up:

I had become the omega man! It was so weird.

I just got a 404 when trying to click through to the site, then got that same redirect page you posted when I tried to link through to LC directly.

Shared the "End of and Era" sensation, along with Taruh, who is sitting across the kitchen table from me.

Could be the death throes though. Or just maintenance, I suppose.

Right now there are 11 Guests.
Who would they be and how did they get here?

I waited till the next day to see if it was still down then tweeted them about it and they basically said that they hadn't realized and that they'd fix it. So they aren't shuttin her down yet. So everybody get to posting.

I'm thinking an Eisley/ Merriment Split LP might be a fun undertaking.
